Hi there! We love hearing suggestion, can you tell us a little more about what you think this tree leaderboard could look like? Thanks for watching the video and using Ecosia 💚
@@Ecosia How about adding a goggle or any other account and then sync the user's tree count with both mobile and desktop. Then make a leaderboard of the users (they can keep them anonymous if they want). Maybe it's too much work, but you know it will increase the tree count a lot.
@@Ecosia ● Maybe you could allow the users to create their unique usernames(only available to them) and they can be on a leaderboard... just like any game you would see in an arcade or on laptops. ● It can consist of just 20 or 30 people ig...there's no need to arrange ton of people on the leaderboard. Maybe it can be displayed on Ecosia's official site. ● The username will be connected to the mail IDs but others should not see it of course cause privacy... ● The leaderboard should be able to calculate and display the number of trees the person planted and arrange them in that order. ● Announcing the top few Ecosians in every tree update video will be UNIMAGINABLY motivating but the search engine will sort of end up like a game ig😅 ● But if you're considering the above idea then you'll probably have to put a limit to the number of devices you can log onto using the same mail ID cause otherwise we will have people stealing the number of trees and searches so that their names get called out😅 These are a few of my suggestions... Thankyou team Ecosia for taking the time to reply to our comments and suggestions🥺❤❤
It's great to see how enthousiastic the people are about Kisiki Hai! People who depend on the land do care about it, but they may not know the best way to do it. Now these farmers will have a greener future. Thanks Ecosia!
Best way to grow trees, shrubs is to harvest the rainfall and let the water absorb into the ground and the land will naturally get green wirh vegetation. You do this by digging trenches into the ground 24 inches deep to capture the rainfall.
The world, even places where it rains a lot doesn't capture most of the rain and it Just goes into the sewers. Every roof can capture rain and store it in tanks even if its Just for plants.
We are happy you like them! We bring out a new video roughly every two weeks and you can get more daily updates on our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. 💚
This brings such warmth to my heart! It's always beautiful to see a community come together, especially over trees!! 🌳 I love the hope this video brings me. Thank you Ecosia, I am so proud to be supporting an organization like yours! ❤️
The best technique in dry land. It's cheap and quick method of Ecosystem restoration. Also it is community based as all people could participate this simple restorative method.
Yes. I've been familiar with FMNR (farmer managed natural regeneration) for a while. A great method. And can be utilized in similar thinking to create coppice or pollard wood for perpetual fire wood, fence materials, and other building materials, thus reducing the percieved need to cut any more trees down and it builds exponentially because of this also. big thumbs up!
This is so nice to see. I am happy that I am a (very small) part of this by using Ecosia! I really love the work you do guys, keep on the good work and stay safe everyone!🌱
I'm from Spain 🇪🇸 where I'm used to see bad news about my country and how everything sinks (due to current social-communist govt), but good news like this where another country and community thrive is something that gladdens my heart ♥
So, ecosia you guys could add a dark mode and also a leaderbord (where it shows the 30 people with the most trees planted), I think that could give you guys a boost. Also maybe add the option to customize the browser with images. It sometimes looks like you think so much about the enviroment (fortunatly) that you forget that your company is a search engine nad has to compete against Edge, firefox, opera and google. Most people do not care enough to switch because they would lose a lot of things they can do on other browsers.
“The most beautiful livelihood is not the livelihood of money, but rather the most beautiful livelihood: The serenity of the soul, the light of the mind, the health of the body, the purity of the heart, the soundness of the mind, the supplication of a mother, the kindness of a father, the presence of a brother, the laughter of a son, the concern of a friend, and the supplication of a lover in God God bless
There's something called "groasis", I think it's a really good technology that you can use in those cases because it really helps the trees to grow without much rainfall. It's being used in Dubai, Spain, China etc and it's working very well. It would be more expensive but not only would help to develop the technology and make it cheaper but also secure tree planting even in desert-like climates
Thank you for all your hard work, this is an important issue and all the hard work of your organization/team is appraciated! Also those ladies have lovely singing voices

This is an inspiring video, but there's something they're not telling us. A shrub will not grow into a tree, no matter how you prune it, just like a sparrow will never grow into an eagle, not matter what you feed it. I'm guessing that the trees were being cut down for firewood and now they realize that they can use the pruned lower limbs of saplings for firewood. Either way, it's a good development...I just prefer being given accurate context information.
Suggestion : Maybe you could create a game and we can use that game to earn 💸? And use it for donations 💸? To plant ir maybe protect more trees And maybe we could have a leader board and it could show the top people with the most searches and convert them to trees 😅
Uhhh, what way exactly? There's a great many ways to radicalize, and only a few of them would be of any help to the climate. The last thing we need is more "poor people in developing countries are to blame for climate change, because they have lots of kids (nevermind the fact these kids will pollute orders of magnitude less than your average westerner)" nutjobs, or even worse, straight-up ecofascists.
