That's an awesome mod -- I was wondering if this would work, without the need for a powered amp. One question, though: Can you hide the Aux wire inside the handle and then back through the tube to your pack?
Yes but probably a bit trickier. If you are modding the stock pipe then you could do it all together. I just hockey taped the cable along the pipe. Sort of looks like it's supposed to be there.
Yes I found once the drill got in they popped out fairly easy. Unfortunately for me I never got this tip until after I had done it but I don't mind as its not really visible.
