Just want to give you a heads up. I have only used iMovies for my RU-vid video’s. 2 of my videos had to be re-edited because there was a copyright issue with music I had used from the music files in iMovies. Just letting you know..

Hello Meredith, my basic editing is going well, thank to you :) However, I am confused by two things. When I click in music/audio, I only get music that is in my i-tunes showing; that's because I was using it a few years ago. How do I get the basic Royalty free music? Next issue: When I go into my videos, it only shows one's I have editing previously, and not my newer one's. And, there is no break in them. How do I fix that? Thanks :)

I was just about to sign up for business account and after the free trial it charges you $50 a month. I ended up subscribing as a personal channel since I am not doing business for anyone else. The price greatly reduced to $15 a month.

thank you for your video, very informative. I used music from the You tube library but Facebook ,on trying to add the video there, muted most of it and said the music was copyrighted. I looked on the licensing agreement next to the tracks and they are all free to use. What does one do in this situation please ?

I would like to use two tracks from the carpenters albums FOR ALL WE KNOW AND TOUCH ME WHEN WE’RE DANCING for a small Imovie, its for a teddy bear WEDDING video, I just don't want to breach copy right, how do I go about permission its only short clips and not the whole songs , I will publish this movie on a small Facebook page that is mine , it will only be about 5 minutes long if that. I created an IMovie on my Iphone. It plays with the music that comes with Imovie. When I export it to Facebook, email, photos, etc..... The sound is gone. I've tried everything and cannot figure out how to get the sound. Part of the movie include a couple of short video clips and the sound from those clips is there, but not the music throughout the rest of the vidio. How do I get the IMovie audio to export?

I figured out how to add background music to my iPhone video using iMovie but then when I download it back to my photo album the video size is much smaller than the original video without the music. How do I maintain the video size after adding the music and downloading it to save?

When I drag and drop my audio file it just places the audio right on top of the video clip so I am unable to edit the audio. (It doesn't drop below your video content like seen at 6:55) Your videos are awesome btw

iMovie is a great option for free Mac software. I use Final Cut Pro to edit.

hello I enjoy watching your videos you give a lot of great advice. my question is I do all my videos with GoPro cameras then import the clips and use iMovie to make my videos. I am wanting expand my videos and add some effects for example I want to go transition from a video clip into a time lapse clip and add some background music to play during the time lapse. then go back to another regular clip with me talking. is this possible? can you give me some tips or point me into a video of yours that talks about this.

Thanks for this, I didn't realize you could drag and drop .mp3 right into the timeline. btw, not all songs in the YT library have attributes - you can do a search with or without them.
