Adding profiles is different to adding accounts? So unnecessarily complicated. All I want to do (first time Xbox user today): 1) Create a Microsoft account for myself. I am effectively Admin. 2) Add family members so that they can play when they visit me and keep their saved positions in various games played on this console. Yet the comments point to numerous problems where folk are stuck in loops. Presumably, each family member needs their own exclusive email and Microsoft account? I haven't gamed for ten years and am about to set up an XBox for the first time - this seems so much more complicated than back in the days of Playstation 3. Notwithstanding all the Gold, Ultimate, Game Pass, Live conflations that I have already been wading through and yet to understand.
Do you know why adding guest doesn’t do anything? I try to add a guest to play a local, split screen game on Cold War but when I try to sign in the second controller to the guest the account doesn’t show up
@@DoubtMeTech I wanna know whether 1. A new user will get access to all games downloaded and used by Primary User? 2. If they can see and play all games of primary user. Will they have separate save files or will xbox over write games on primary users save data?
Brilliant, thanks. I have a few xbox 360 games I bought digital downloads for, and I lost my account details. I created an all new account for the series X some time ago.. Now, of course I found the old account email and password, and many of those games are backwards compatible with the series X! Just my luck. Will adding my old account as a second account on my series X, allow me to download and play my old games whilst I am logged in to that account? I don't mind switching to that account when I want to play the old games. If not, is there any way to do it? Your help is so appreciated, believe me. THANK YOU.
My son has the xbox/s and we got him the game pass. My other son wants to play his own games with his own progress. Can they both use the game pass with different profiles on the same Xbox with their own progress?
hey nice video! I have a question. Is it possible and legitimate to create another profile on your xbox console like you did, and avail the 1$ 3 months game pass ultimate offer? I have already availed it on my original profile and have been paying the regular subscription fees for past couple months. I was just wondering if this is possible.
I know what’s happening, it was doing the same for me until I realized I was putting my email in wrong. I was missing numbers so it thought I was creating a new email
@@reneemesa3609how does that help anyone else? Your issue is human error, the other person is saying it won’t let them add another account without creating a new email account..
I just opened up the xbox series x console for my kids keeping in mind the last time I played a console was Sega mega drive mortal combat 1, I bought "it takes two" but I can't seem to add a second player how's it done?
I tried to set up a guest profile and microsoft wanted me to subscribe again for game pass which I already have, when I said no thanks for options, the guest has no access to my game pass, can't even play a 2 player game, this is retarded!!!!
Soo, I logged in with the same stuff as my old Xbox account, and I have nothing saved from it, and it was rendered as a new account. I lost literally all of my saves from games, causing me to lose anything. Anyone know how to fix that? I heard you can link accounts, so that might work.
so heres my probl, any em when i try to hit add new it pops up for a second, it pops up again and spins then pops up one more time and spisn and then it closes not letting me put in my info, any idea on how to fix it? thanks
They still force us to use emails just to have an account that can save games on a stupid console? One step forwards two steps back with console, why do I even bother with consoles? I just want to add accounts so that the kids I baby sit can just log in and continue their games whenever, consoles are so fking backwards. 🤦♀️ Now I have to make stupid emails.
I'm logged with my personal account. I would like to put also my best friend one but not only it asked the email and the password but also the date of birth. Is it normal? It looked like the system tried to create a new account not remembering the existing one of the friend of mine
I think you're missing the point just a little bit here people want to know how to add a second player to play split screen with two controllers on the same box in the same house not adding another account just another player could you do a video on that to help out the other 90% of the people you forgot about
God I hate this! I went from Xbox360 to XSX, and the difference is terrible. 360? Turn on controller, create a profile for the console. XSX? Turn on controller, create an online Microsoft account, lest your friend/family member want to lose their saves. So dumb. They don't have and don't want to create Microsoft accounts! They just want to play a game on co-op! It won't even let me register the account it turned my 360 into because it had the same email. (Upon signing into the XsX it turned the username on my 360 into another name and added them as a friend on my XSX) AND, it doesn't actually create an account from the Xbox Series X menu's. It might be meant to. But for me it just keeps going in loops. Only has a sign in option!

@@is2fiftyslowfsport744 I always sorta figured there'd be something like that regarding Gamepass and multi-player... Something about online services for games just seemed like too much to handle co-op.
