How I added RGB inputs into an average consumer TV to make an arcade quality CRT monitor. Not a very easy mod, but the more DIY-how-to's are out on the web the better your experience might be. Results are very impressive, but at the cost of difficulty.
A soldering iron and multimeter are all you need to do this, however a general understanding of what's going on inside a CRT TV is a must. Read those datasheets carefully.
