It's true! It's a big basket with doors. Only problem is that you cannot attach it to things. But maybe you could pin it in place with steel bars or baskets around the outside?

Well, I guess at least when you crash you'd only have to go pickup the fridge wherever it flung itself out at instead of a bed full of 50 random items.

Not sure what issue you have, I was able to load a save from July and drive a bit down the road to the next building and there was food there no problem.

Alcohol and blood is actually really useful in cases where your thirst is screwed anyway. They up your health bar at the cost of your thirst bar. But if your thirst bar is empty anyway, it's free health, so you can continue driving until you find normal food and water.

...I assume you took the car?

I do this too, just take the 2 liters of gas and go with whatever condition the car is. I also force myself to switch to whatever new car comes along every 100 km.

Wait, there are mods?!?

Seems that they temporarily disabled the mods for this new update, most likely to see if they still work in this version and/or if they cause issues. You can find their mods on their discord server. I know that the tuning engine mod is not really good tho as you just can't imput numbers you gotta slide bars and that doesn't always work and then you'd want to put the engine back into its base config, but since it's all sliders, you can't really do it. The best mod, I think, is the mod that remove the rocks from the road. Since the devs still haven't figured out how to make sure they doesn't instantly spawn in front of you.

Graphics look the same.

On a technical level, they sort of were. For performance reasons, the dev added in some new LOD effects using 'impostors' (2D images of 3D models) to cut down on render requirements.

@@BSRaven Yes, finally. The performance is now "garbage" instead of "absolute shit". It's better, but damn this game needs optimization. Otherwise, it's quite fun IMO.

New Beam.NG crossover game? I would be completely ok if Beam became the new Maxis for interoperability.

Um...haha sorry, but only 1 person is making the game, and its very difficult, and totally home made. We try to help my brother as much as we can, but he is doing the programming alone. He still managed to pull off amazing things for the game. I am very proud of him :)

It worked fine for me, I was able to continue my current save game with the new patch and everything works great (cudak888, is that what you meant by backwards compatible?). I'm also really enjoying watching streams where ppl are having fun with the new pickup truck.

@@gamingkanalis I’m a professional driver and I love this game, doesn’t listen to that dude. The driving is solid and the charm is fantastic. If you ever want a guy to help with specific handling stuff/ vehicle physics I’d be more then happy to help. Keep up the great work!

@@gamingkanalis No need to apologize at all - the comment was meant to be tongue in cheek; not a serious complaint in the least. And of course, as Alex demonstrates, the additional mechanics are pretty manageable. That said, your brother has been knocking it out of the park with TLD. Easily deserves the same type of appreciation that Toby Fox's Undertale received a few years ago. Bravo!

It wouldn't be much of a survival if there were frequent places with everything you need to create a functioning vehicle on the spot... The risk of getting stranded or starved is what makes it a survival, what motivates the dilemma between hauling everything you find or trusting that you'll find more soon enough.

@@KimonFrousios The issue is that, right now, when you lose everything, you either restart a fresh new game, or load a previous savegame. I dunno if you've played this game, but even when running, your character doesn't go far. Comparing this to another survival, not really similar one tho, 7DtD, you can find more places to loot. That doesn't mean you'll survive tho. If they don't want to make it so that buildings spawn more closer to one another, then they'll need to give tools for the players to temporary fix their vehicles, 'till they find a suitable replacement.

The thing is, pooping was already in the game before this update. You press "B" to burp/fart/poop.
