I relate so much to this. I was on adderall for 18 years. Been off of it for almost a year and I am so much happier without it.

I was misdiagnosed with ADHD about 20 years ago and later found out I was bipolar. The high I got from the adhd meds were amazing at first. Towards the end of my use I was addicted to the drugs, erratic and could barely function at work. Two years ago I ended up in a psych ward and was correctly diagnosed with bipolar. The mood stabilizer has changed my life for the better. I do worry about the long term consequences. I’m able to read again and I think I have normal concentration. After 20 years I at times feel like I wasted so much time. I’m just hoping the future continues to be better.

This is a stark contrast to my experience, glad you made this! I am misdiagnosed with schizophrenia, given rispiradone for many years, developed all the worst extrapyramidal Symptoms, and severe Akathisia I am still fighting with 16 years later. They still want to give me Vrylar, after all this! Anything I say or do is just seen as more psychosis. Akathisia is terrible. I have never experienced a high from methylphenidate, and was taken off of it because they said, "this medications shouldn't do that", because methylphenidate lowered my heart rate, blood pressure, reduced anxiety and intrusive thoughts, and improved my quality of sleep (I was sleeping 16-22 hrs a day). Unbelievable that they still want to push antipsychotics on me.

Congrats!! Thank you so much for sharing you’re story. I’m in the throes of withdrawal right now. Yoga, running and laughing is what’s helping me but I’m definitely still at a rock bottom for sure. @@irose. “There will be in the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it.” Aldous Huxley This is EXACTLY what Adderall did for me. Made me ENJOY my servitude in the machine, playing the same game as everyone else even though I thought myself to be far removed from it in my own head. It kept me from pursuing my higher purpose which is to help people free themselves of their own servitude, slavery and soulless existence. These drugs are a catalyst for that. Big pharma was built on the back of physical degeneration brought to us in part by the propaganda of the food industry and the nutritional deficiencies therein. ADD has everything to do with nutritional deficiencies, mouth breathing during sleep, technology, etc. to name a few. ‘The Oxygen Advantage’ and ‘Nutrition & Physical Degeneration’ are both PROFOUND books on this subject. Keep spreading the good word, sister!!! Proud of you 👏🏼

Agreed! It is life changing for me all for the better! I take Vyvanse and Adderall and I have bipolar I disorder! I have been taking stimulants for years like at least a decade and have never had adverse reactions. In fact it makes me sleepy and calm. When a person stops sleeping is when the psychosis starts. There are studies showing d-amphetamine has antimanic and antipsychotic effects.

I weigh 145 lbs and started taking one 30mg xr once a day. I started to abuse it because I liked how good it made me feel. Unfortunately, I developed a tolerance quickly. Now im taking three 30mg xr's a day, and it's getting out of control. At least once a week, I stay up for 24 hrs because I can't sleep. At one point, i was up for 3 days and started seeing people and animals that weren't really there. I need the medication to function at work because of my non hyperactive adhd but I also don't wanna continue down this road. My boss and coworkers are giving me praise because of how well I'm performing at work, but at what cost? Adderall is the best and worst thing that's happened to me.
@jeremygalloway1348
@jeremygalloway1348 2 месяца назад
Pick a day where you're not expected to perform at any level...and just don't take it. You have to lower your tolerance and the only way to do that is increase duration between doses. Praying for you

I’ve been off my adderal for about 4 days now. I’ve been on a regular 30mg a day for 5 years. Once I built a tolerance to the the med I started taking my 30mg pill along with a half so 15 more mgs once the early evening came along. I resigned from my job at the hospital I was working at and lost my insurance so I just can’t afford the therapy or the meds anymore. But aside from that, I just started to seriously consider what was going to happen in the future if I had to keep taking more and more when my tolerance continued to build up. I made the decision to just come off and go back to natural. But the side effects from withdrawal are painfully real to me. I have a constant battle in my head, I have low self esteem and I try to not put myself in social situations because of the dreadful anxiety I feel. I’m unmotivated and I know all things like this take time to adjust to but I know I’m in for a long road of misery. On a lighter note, I’m glad that I came across your video while I’m going through this. It’s just the beginning and the pointers you give are exactly what I needed to hear. I don’t want to have a heart attack in my early 30’s and I actually do want to have an appetite like a normal person again. Thank you for this, dear. I needed to see this today. ❤🙏🏻

A doctor put me on adderall because he said I “looked like add walking thru the door” I said I have bipolar my other doctors said I couldn’t take a stimulant or I’d go crazy” well, this doc assured me I was “immune to schizophrenia” and wouldn’t go crazy. Well, six weeks in on 60 mg a day never abusing it I hit psychosis when I was on a flight to Zurich. I believed I was microchipped. There’s a lot more to the story but the point is the addy did this. I went against my gut accepting that doctors adderall.

Many conditions can mimic symptoms of bipolar disorder, including Complex PTSD, which also has many symptoms in common with ADHD. Or perhaps ADHD is just a part of complex PTSD-who really knows? I don’t believe those are research questions in the medical and pharmaceutical community because they would likely reduce people’s reliance on pharmaceuticals. Dr. Gabor Mate, who is a medical doctor specializing in addiction medicine, believes that ADHD is caused by childhood trauma, so it’s interesting to me that ADHD has so many cognitive and emotional symptoms in common with Complex PTSD, which is of course a product of chronic childhood trauma.

My brother is going through this psychosis thing on Adderall now. He thinks everyone is following him, hundreds of people everywhere are in on it. He thinks it could be military or ex military. He also thinks his neighbors are sending some kind of signals through his walls to torment him. By the way, he just moved to another apartment because he thought his old neighbors were doing this now it's the new ones across town. He is so convinced that this is happening he would go to random hotels and he would think the maid in the middle of the night was letting people in the room next door to torment him. He has had major problems with addiction in the past. Now I'm trying to convince him to get off the Adderall at least for a month. I'm hoping when all this paranoia and psychosis goes away he'll realize it is the Adderall and won't get back on it. He has a really good job so I don't want to get him committed if this can be resolved another way. Any help with anything else I could do is appreciated.

You are helping me with this post. So thank you. I’ve been off and on for almost 2 years. It is a vicious cycle! I decided to try my sons pills (he was 16 at the time) not even knowing what an amphetamine was, not lying! (Unfortunately I know everything about the drug now 😈) As soon as that pill hit me, my first time, I said to self “holy shit, where am I going to get my hands on these!” I said it just like that. Eventually I found a crooked doc to give me whatever I want so really not good 🤦‍♀️ Right now I’ve been up for 2 days. Last night I fessed up to hubby AGAIN. Waiting for him to wake up so we can throw away the remaining pills. (I’ve done this like 5 times now.) But not before I take a couple more 🤥 My hubby can’t believe how strong they are. And I can take like 8 in a day. Sick sick sick but getting better better better 🙏

Still have a lot of the video left to finished but help me understand really quick please you're telling me that you went to a hospital and emergency hospital at that for mental health , probably protocol was mandatory and you had to talk to a crisis ....but all of that aside ...the Dr is the key....one doesn't get diagnosed with something from anyone other than a doctor and being labeled is being labeled isn't anything at all medically professionally scientifically speaking I mean.. Possibly just reading too much into it and everything is semantics right now but I didn't want to forget to try and find out what actually literally happened at the hospital and how you got bipolar because if not the ghost then but diagnosed then is there more specific you could be about how bipolar even came into the picture?
