Just made a small one. Had a piece I knitted but the other half was messed up so finished it off with the crochet brim.

Ok. Figured it out. My brim came out very wavy not flat like your demo. Suggestion?

need explanation please: when you single crochet the stitches held by the waste yarn, the outside of the hat is facing you....so when you finish row, the join is from right to left. However, when the camera shuts off and comes back you are beginning second row and the join is from right to left......BUT THE INSIDE OF THE HAT IS FACING YOU as you do the half double crochets. ??????

I have been trying for ages to write down the pattern for the brim part of the hat,but at 87 yrs of age I am having great difficulty.I have tried to slow it down but still no success.is there anyone that could give me a written copy of just the brim part.I have done the machine knitted part.I knit for aged care homes and some of the ladies don’t like the beanies but I’m sure they would like these . thank you
