What did you have your yarn hooked up to to to through the feeder. I was wondering if that's what helped it work in the Addi. It says Bernat pipsqueak is no. 5. I was told to not use anything above no. 4. So I'm wondering how you got it to work and so well. Went through no trouble at all
I make a variation on this for a children's hat tree. I make a shorter version than this, which I close at both ends, and fold into itself. The scarf is long enough to go around an adult's neck and tuck into a coat, but is longer, of course, on a child. Folded up, it can be a toboggan, a slouchie, or a beanie with about four thicknesses of fold :great for really cold, windy weather. I use a variety of yarns, however the favorite is caron latte. Most of the yarns I use allow it to be reversible, with different colors on each end. Four or five weight yarns work best, as long as the machine likes them. Depending on the yarn, 140 to 175 rows generally makes a scarf hat, and they are generally gone when I return to the hat tree the following week.
Love this tutorial to music format! Sweet mitts - I paused it to order a 22 pin machine! Please share your playlist? I believe I could crank my !machines for hours on end with that background music! Thanks for the mitt recipe! That wrap around two needles to form the ruffle is new to me. Happy New Year!
I am original do crocheting. I am so glad that I came across yr sight. I love the idea of the crocheting & knitting that you do. It is really cool.😊😊 Have you done any lately in 2023? Looking forward to learning & seeing more.
You made exactly what I been making! I had lots of extra round elastic from masks making that worked great. I even used Pipssqueak Denim. Exact same yarn!!
I like the pattern but the concept of crocheting is 😮. Is there 1) a way to do a simplified (ie, dummy proof) way of doing this that’s a tad slower, 2) pointing me to a video you’ve down that could meet that request, or 3) point me a good resource to learn? Should actually mention there are several of your knit + crochet I really like.
Thank you! Just met a fellow knitter who does hats for newborn babies at the hospital, and was thinking of contributing mittens. So excited to find this pattern! Thank you!!!
I didn't invest almost $200.00 (not including the yarn) in a Knitting Machine to make a "Beanie".... I would like to be able to knit an outfit. Like a simple top and 'A'-line skirt. [I can easily knit a hat without this very expensive machine.]
