This is a cracking chat and fair play to Tony and his honesty. Methadone does it’s job and aids turkey but from my experience it doesn’t help them get of drugs, it just stabilizes their habit and, as Tony states, it’s replacing one addiction with another. In the job 20 years and dealing with addicts detoxing on Methadone just created a crutch/bridge until they get out to get back on the street drugs once the methadone is finished.
My grandson is in the exact stage of his life at school, 11 years old. From nursery. Everyone want to know him, he is a lovely, friendly boy, something happened, everyone turned against him, so from nursery to know he his been bullied, assaulted, threatened with to be stabbed, he had to take it, turn the other cheek, the school mantra. He could only take so much, so he started sticking up for himself. And low & behold, the little toe rages that bullied him etc. Get away with it, as the school say's because of his "reputation" the exact words they said. It's like the school turn a blind eye to his bullying, easier for the paper work, it's all my grandsons fault. He's been with us since he was 6 1/2 months because of a "accident" broken arm with his mum & dad, the dad had a previous problem with another partner we never knew about. He is in constant defense mode, surly he must have PTSD live like this.
@@RealPorridgePodcast Thanks. I've got some theories, but in the age of conspiracy it's like water of a ducks back. The police need criminals to exist, the mental health needs people with issues. What better place in instill these problems in innocent young children. Having PTSD for 30+ years I feel your pain, keep safe, best to the family, Keep talking to all these men that need a second chance I life.
i had ptsd from the age of 12 after seeing my dad brutally attacked on our doorstep. i did not find out until i was 42. my fight or flight was stuck on at all times and it got me in a lot of trouble with the police etc. turned to drugs at 17 and had a 15yr habit. gladly that is all in the past but it has left me with a lot of mental scarring. get him the help he needs now and i am sure he will be fine. all the best
Great 20 questions Sam really looking forward to Tony’s full story he seems quite a educated guy who had a horrendous start to life which formed his life I have total respect for tony being open and honest about his struggles.respect as always Sam.
Great interview Sam. Thanks for introducing us to Tony. It’s a big thing to open up to an on-line audience. Very interesting, but so sad to hear about the terrible violence you experienced, Tony, starting when you were just a baby. 😢. Look forward to hearing more about your life.
My wife has gone on holiday with her sisters I had loads of plans of what I was going to do but have ended up binge watching your channel ! I am a Farnworth lad, and Tony is just a bit younger than me but I can’t recall him, I would guess he knows most of my cousins who were handy lads in their time. Great to hear your story Tony, all the best for the future mate, as they say in Farnworth “ Keep gewin yed down “
Brilliant chat guys. Loved tony immediately, nice way about him, sam you asked all the right questions at the right time. So sad hearing about tonys upbringing. Cant wait to hear his full story soon, Nicola x
Thanks for that Sam, and thank you too Tony. I could relate to so much of the things you said, although I've never touched drugs (except alcohol) I was addicted to fighting as a lad growing up in Manchester. Had my 18th birthday in K-4-10 on my way to Hindley back in '73'. Would cry sometimes with the frustration of knowing I'd put myself in a place where "knobheads" could have a go and I could do little about it without inviting even more trouble. I'm so glad you're in a better place now, and with any luck next year will see you get your licence and supervision squashed. IPP is a disgusting thing. Thanks for sharing a little of your story and agreeing to talk with Sam again. I look forward to hearing more....and your dead right, the system doesn't do it, we are the captains of our soul, we change ourselves. All the best mate!
Thanks Sam, Tony seems to have had a horrendous upbringing, I know the feeling. Looking forward to hearing more from Tony, very brave of him to come on here and tell his story
Great interview as always sam love the dynamics between you and tony cannot wait to hear more from him Really respect his outlook and his courage not only for telling his story but his strength of character to make a change his life hopefully everything works out for him with parole people

@@Jumpingintosilver no thank you Tony. I really enjoyed listening to your experiences and despite all you’ve been through you clearly have a lovely, noble outlook on life. Look forward to hearing more from you Tony. Best regards Matt🙂👍🏻
I went to prison because of trauma I get exactly where tony is coming from well the judge at horseferry road sentenced me for no decorum 6 mths but lucky for me I got out after a week on an appeal ✊❤️✊
I was banged up with you Tony on b wing on the 1s.you won't remember me, I ended up working in reception. Tony I came from K wing we are the same age, I remember you having 🎧 so you wouldn't disturb your pad mates. Tony just being you helped me, I was just starting a 3. head battered been padded up with knobs. I got my first night's proper kip, I began to relax thanks to our chats and me realising that there were good, respectful men like me and I didn't have to behave in a way that wasn't me, l could be myself and gaol suddenly got easier. I met others along the way obviously but you Tony had a big influence on me without knowing it because you were you. And for which I am and always will be eternally grateful. Namasta brother
Doing a rattle straight off 70 ml of methadone , is incredibly difficult, I came off 50ml and it was so bad I have never used drugs since , Methadone should be scrapped it just creates an additional addiction that is worse than the original.. A methadone detox (withdrawal symptoms) can last 6-8 weeks , compared to heroin where the worst is over in 7 days.. It can serve a positive purpose as a titration drug over a 28 day detox , but drug/alcohol services are quite happy to maintain people on it indefinitely , the government's view as it cuts crime .... it doesn't
Hi Sam, brilliant interview. Hi Tony so interesting terribly sad. Tough life. I'm happy you have some peace now. It's crazy tho as you don't look or sound like a angry man. Wish you all the best look forward to hearing more from you.✌️🇨🇮💚
Hey mate: I just heard you mention in this video that you're doing RU-vid full time as your main job. I really admire that and reckon you will be really successful with it. You're a natural orator; great presence and a brilliant interviewer. It takes balls of steel to go self employed, but if anybody can make a total success of his own channel, I reckon you can. I know the video you mention this in is a year old, so hopefully you've been successful so far. Take it handy Our Kid: Best regards from Roger.
@@Jumpingintosilver You look like you have been through it.Life is damn hard.I think everyone has experienced difficulties this past few years. Do what brings you joy with people who care.😘
Fantastic video Sam big respect to Tony for sharing he's story . The officer who hit Tony was it Mr Duffy he was a bad apple when we was kids and Mr facker on e wing back in the day you never forget the bad apples 🍎 stay safe sam big respect to you and Tony stay safe
Another great interview mate. I would happily have a pint with you Sam… Do you visit Liverpool much? Although you 2 could be stunt doubles for Grant and Phil Mitchell haha
Great interview can't wait to hear more, my partner also a IPP but hes never been released (9 years over his 2 year tariff ) i think you would know him sam from strange ways
Great interview with Tony Very honest in everything he said I know he regrets that attack on that lad when he was 18 as i always said good luck Tony trying to change your life Tony mate wish you all luck in world and I hope you can build bridges with your son Tony mate all the best Tony mate from a Dublin fan of real porridge good luck Sam with the channel and good luck to your daughter mate with everything 👍😀👏
Thanks Sam for nice reply mate I know you are very busy so much appreciated Sam and all the best to Tony in everything he does with his life I wish him all the best 👍😀
Im from Llanelli Wales. Ex con and army welshgruards. My friend was IPP i say was because he is dead now. The end of his life i know it was coming. Drugs. Rip alan.
Unfortunately a all too common story with ex forces guys. I served 8 years in the army. Two of the lads I served with also ended up in prison with addiction issues. Mostly due to PTSD from our time in Afghanistan in 2008 and 2009. After support for ex squaddies Is all but non existent, even today. Thank God there’s charities out there that do the work the M.O.D should be doing for ex forces people.
Methadone is harder to get of then heroin.Methadone is used has a maintenance program for withdrawal symptoms and cravings for opioids. liquid or pill is taken has a daily dose that lasts 24 hours unlike heroin 4-6 hours. It is 100% clean and used to stop users having to turn to crime to feed the heroin addiction.Once you start withdrawing from heroinyou feel the cold chills even if its hot outside your feeling cold chills and you start yawing. This is only the startover the next few hours you feel like your coming down with flu but 1000 times more then worse flu you have had. Your legs feel like you have something under your skin/shin bone is crawing. You want to smash shin bone becausethe feeling is under it is too much rest legless syndrome is the closed thing to it but its getting more worse by the hourafter 24 hours you are now just starting withdrawing. Now try it for 4-6 weeks with NO SLEEP but when you do start to sleep its only 10 minutes which feeling like you have had 6-8 hours sleep. You need to go into a hospital to get of methadone. The easy part is getting clean its STAYING CLEAN is the hardest part
The Man is 60 years of Age now Sam , been clean for 17 years deserves a well overdue break now and his IPP to be rescinded let's ALL be honest? The court system is using Tony as an example to what could and will happen if you continue as a criminal on a long path of violent crime , the consequences of decades long IPP sentence! The only positive potential for Tony being, his experiences might hopefully deter others going down the same path !! Not sure what Tonys thoughts are on this?
Hi there. Thank you for all your videos. I enjoy watching them. Just a quick question, I wondered whether you would have a number or email for Tony Wilson as I'd like to interview him myself. He's a very interesting man. Thank you.
How do,it took rehab and 3years to get of methadone horrific drug to get of well done to him and good luck ✌️ HOPE STEPHEN AND YOURSELF ARE WELL 🇮🇲🇮🇲🏍️ PAUL 🍵 BRILLIANT
