So a suggestion for anyone in the future doing this. Put a 2 phase subpanel in and have 50 amps feed the sub panel. On the new sub panel, have one breaker feed the new a/c, and then have a 30 amp breaker feed the exiting panel. Then there's no need for 2 sperate hookups. Just a suggestion.

Excellent suggestion. In different "add a second A/C to a 30 amp trailer" RU-vid video, he mentions the fact that a lot of parks forbid campers to use two connections to "their" power pedastal.

That is awesome, and you made it look very easy. I'd love to have a second a/c in our trailer, but noise of one is almost all I can handle, lol. I like the low temps inside when it's hot outside. Great video. Thanks for sharing. :)

Glad I found this! We have the same camper and want to add a second unit. We camped in the summer in texas and one ac wasn't enough.

I don’t use the furnace in my camper, so I’m going to hijack it’s breaker (20amps) and run the power side out through a second opening with an appliance rated extension cord to the 20v outlet outside.

It would be good to see how they got the ceiling panels, side wall off and back on to make it look factory original. The 2nd 30 service on the rear with a park service is great but what about dry camping? The only way I can see is two inverter/gens or rotate which A.C. is plugged in.

People in this large of a camper don’t go dry camping much and if I did, I and wanted to run an A/C, it would only be one. Same as the people who have 50 amp service with two A/C’s.

Hey Paul! I know this video is a little old. We also have a 265BH and it only has one vent in bedroom and one I bathroom and would love to add a second ac in bedroom. We are kinda new to rv'ing and were just out this past week in South Texas with daily temps up to 106. The single ac kept it at 85 during afternoons. Is the roof structure strong enough to hold the ac? How do I remove the wall panels? I am very handy and mechanically inclined, but if I tore up a wall by mistake, my wife would have me for dinner. And help would be greatly appreciated. I'm now a new subscriber😊

I had a young rv tech do the job for me and unfortunately I was not present while he was doing the job. It took 2 people 5 hours to complete this job, so a total of 10 man hours. Maybe call Grand Design during the week or go to your rv dealer and ask someone to explain it. Best of Luck, you'll be glad you added the second a/c
