Adding an Activity LED to an EZFlash Omega 

It seems it would be better to connect the LED inverted, with the positive side connected to Vcc and the negative side to the data0 pin, since the data line is normally pulled up when not operating. That way the LED will only light up when the SD card is being read or written to, and would be easier to see in my opinion.

I still dont understand how people don't take 5 seconds to read the manual, or even the listing for the thing. The listing I bought mine from literally said you needed to wait after saving and yet somehow so many people complain that it doesnt work.

This is great! I've never had an issue with having to wait a few seconds with mine, but I might wanna do this for "fun" haha

i was very skeptical about getting an EZ flash Omega because i had seen so many people having corrupted save issues. i made sure i followed the directions very very carefully and I made sure to get a trustworthy brand of SD card. I'm happy to say I've had no issues with it so far, but I've only used it a couple days. my only complaint is that i can't find the pink shell for it anywhere 😭

The gba everdrive is the best and worth the money. Always reliable and it just works.

I'm gonna have to admit that I'm tempted to try this on an EZ-Flash Jr primarily for cosmetic purposes.

Congrats on converting surface-mount parts into air-mount ones. Seriously though, surface-mount parts are an utter pain to work with when you aren't a pick-and-place robot.

First time I'm seeing a blue EZ Flash Omega. I've only ever seen black and orange.

Ppl who have ran into this issue honestly only have themselves & their own impatience to blame for this problem. Just wait 10 seconds at least before shutting off your system and you won't have this problem. It's always safer to give it extra time rather than being in a rush.

Those wires are WAY WAY WAYYYYYY too long! You really ought to shorten them significantly. I really don't know why you used such long wires for this. That is not a good thing to do. You want the shortest wire runs as possible when doing stuff like this.

You think it’s possible to reduce the 150ma power consumption to something lesser? Am no electrician 😂 but put something inline with the power pad coming from the GBA card slot (on the ez-flash) so bring the draw down?

You should also be using flux when soldering the resistor and LED. There is really no reason not to use the Noclean Flux on each and every solder point to help adhesion.

Are you aware of the new EZFlash Jr. flashcart for GB/GBC that came out a few weeks ago? Mine arrived 2 days ago and I was able to test it a little bit. I also have the EZFlash Omega which really impressed me when it came out. The EZFlash Jr. is nowhere that good. It works, but has a lot of issues. You can't have more than 90 roms in a folder or it will get file system errors and crash. This still happens after I sorted my Roms into alphabetical folders. Sometimes it hangs after detecting the SD card when powering on. Also the navigation menu is quite slow. Compared to the Omega this thing is pretty bad and even compared to my 5 year old Everdrive GB (per X3/5/7) it doesn't look good. It loads faster but still has way too many bugs.

I really don't like the idea of soldering directly to the MicroSD slot. There's gotta be a better way to do this. It would be really nice if an LED were simply included in the design of the product. Does the Definitive Edition Omega have an access LED? I sure hope so.

im having issues with my ez flash omega while playing both metroid zero mission and fusion, any time i save using the L-R and Start buttons when i load the game crashes or glitches i lose sound, the picture gets fuzzy or the picture will freeze altogether. is anyone else having this issue or something like it? it doesn't happen with GBC.GB or NES so i dont think its my sd card. im not really sure what the issue is or how to remedy it. i would really really appreciate the help please and thank you all in advanced

I dont use my EZFlash in my GBA SP anymore. after i added a louder speaker i loose some of my save states cause of the bigger magnet
