Love it! My Bolivian butterflies have just bred and have hidden their fry… If you want to make the tank pop, grab another 3 Bolivians, and some neon blue rams… the contrast is amazing… I have those and Serpai tetras, the colours contrast beautifully… Check the vent for sexing, the male should have no numb or the tiniest bump, the females have a distinct downwards pointing tube coming out of the vent…
'If something great disappers, something greater appears' And you have done complete justice to Ember and his tank. I do agree making that Timmy's new home I'll be waiting for that MD!
Me too!! I mean, not that exact specific obviously but just a giant shallow tank full of cories. Plenty of tannins, tons of leaf litter and a jungle of twisty branches. A few big swords and or jungle val in the back... ahhh it'd be so cool to see swarms of cories bumbling through it all
Corydoras are the best on sand, because they love to sit on the sand or dig a little bit. So i would love to see a Corydoras scape :-) By the way, i love your channel
Mine really got lively once the angels were out of their tank but I'm still not convinced they are thriving as much being completely alone and not part of a complicated ecosystem
I've been watching you since the beginning and your builds have inspired me so much I now have 11 tanks keep building no matter what you do it will be amazing.
I would love love love to see you do a cory tank, and my 87 year old mother is highly interested as well. Also, I loved Ember and I'm so sorry he's gone. He looked like a Disney character, so sweet. And finally, I love this tank a lot and I'm amazed at the number of fish you have in there, and I do agree with you that much more fish and it'd feel, IMO, like too much to track all at once.
Looks great. I prefer the looks of the Buenos Aires to the Colombians myself, but to each his own. Ember was the reason for me setting up a tank for orandas. What a cool fish he was. I’m sorry for your loss. Thank you for the videos
Yesss! A high rock waterfall with some space next to it for timmy to chill, maybe stick a uvb light where he can lay down (if he needs one) lots of mini and large terrestrial plants and some nice small aquatic plants
I love Nymphoides Taiwan, kept it for years. One of it's coolest aspects is how it grows child plants, much like adventitious child plants in microsorum species, the new child plants for nymphoides grow off the larger mature leaves and can be separated once they reach a decent size and root structure.
Hi Bentley mate. Yeah, it's on of the first real plants I had some great success with a few years back and I don't know why I haven't had it since. And you are right, my plant had so many "babies", it became overrun.....not a bad plant to become over run with though as it looks great and is easy to fix.
OMG yes please do a cory tank! Corydoras panda are the fish that got me into this hobby and they are still my favorite. I have 20 c. panda now, 5 c. paleatus, 10 or so c. pygmaeus and a few stray c. venezuelanus. A long, shallow corydoras biotope style tank would be so cool! I did something similar for my ancistrus/bristlenose pleco breeding pair in a 33 gallon long. It has ember tetras and the c. pygmaeus and has been a fun one to watch
Love the Rams. I know that you're going to Miss the Goldfish... You Are A Great Inspiration to the beginnings of others. I've personally seen a few of Your Fantasics and YOU ROCK DUDE. Stay Blessed and Safe.
Definitely a Cory tank I have 6 albino and 4 paleatus corys in my tank and there loving life they all stay together and then I have a Bolivian ram male also with them and he’s fully grown now there awesome fish enjoy!
Il be moving to Paignton in a week and can't wait to visit the Zoo!! Moving from hard water Reading .. to presumably soft .. fingers crossed my fish survive the journey and change in water.. love Cory's.. !
I’ve always wanted a cory only tank, I think it’s a great idea. Would be great for a shallow I think, since they won’t be using the height much anyway.
I am mor of a Guppy or Tetra kinda guy. Bcoz they are sleek colourful and fast, nt only tht bt hardy and easy to maintain... Bt after seeing Ember i fell in Luv wit the goldies... And then i bought 3 Fancy goldies and a telescope😊... Never seen a Beautiful fish tht cud ever beat Ember😍... She was one of the reasons i follow this channel... And later i feel in luv wit his Aqua scaping and stuffs... I was shocked to hear tht she left us in the last upload 👀I AM GONNA MISS HER ALOT😢
You're welcome MD, losing Ember is saddening and I can understand wanting to change the tank. Im sure itll make an awesome timmy tank, i loved your previous tall tank aquaterrarium with the bromeliads!
Most definitely get that set up for Timmy! Water halfway up, logs, rocks, some fishy friends... and maybe a small, subtle waterfall? or some type of water feature from the output? -- Could almost double as a "bog filter" for his indoor pond!
For the longest time my aquarium only had my corys , they were so different. They were out playing all the time ,I am new to the hobby and was thinking what these are not bottom dwellers lol . I didn't know what else I wanted so it was months they were by themselves . As soon as I put in some tetras they are now bottom dwelling hiders .... so yes for me doing a whole panda tank they absolutely love being the only ones in there !
We have our baby musk turtle in a 40 gallon breeder tank. You can go higher with the water, as long as he can surface on a dry spot.. Just saying you don't have to keep the water line as low as half. We have ours nearly to the top with four places he can exit and two that are covered by his basking lights. You inspired our turtle!
The tank looks amazing. Everytime I see the colombians though I keep thinking that I would love to see what you could do with a natural Africa-inspired tank. I'm specifically thinking about Congo Tetras. I think they're gorgeous and one of the most underrated fish and I'm sure you would make a fantastic environment for them. Also thanks for bringing back my interest in the hobby, haven't had a tank since my early teens but I'm soon setting up a new tank at home, really exciting!
Please do a Sterbae or Peppered cory tank! white sand with some light planting!! it would look amazing and these species would really pop with their designs. Maybe get both and have just 2 large schools! Also maybe you could do something with tiger barbs haha, one of my fav fish.
the best thing ever i used to get the water in the test tubes was using a kids medicine dropper. it's exactly 5 ML and its so much easier to fill for testing. I got mine at Walgreen's.
Friendly advice give the Bolivian rams time to eat. I have them to with big tetra’s and the rams eat way way slower than the tetras I feed flakes and sinking pallets ate the same time. Great videos
Move some of the Tetras over to the Discus Tank. Move the Apistogramma to Amazon aquarium. I know they aren’t from the Amazon but get Swordtails for the Amazon aquarium.
A panda cory tank yes please!!! Would it be possible to have a video on setting up a closed planted tank (60cm) low tech, for newbies? Just a thought thanks.
Hi mate, love your scapes, all of them,iv done planted and lake tang, just broke down the lake tank as iv invested in a new tank, iv got some real tips from your vids for my new planted tank that I’m heading for now, just wanted to ask a couple of questions, firstly can I use pea gravel under tropica soil,or do I need to mix in a bit of sand with gravel with some tabs mixed in aswel…?? And secondly we’re do u get your rams and apesto, hand down my fav fish, but stock round were I’m from seems not to be very good,iv probley had around 20ish of each, never had no luck, but iv found out that most of the shops near me,get there stock mainly from the same place,I’m in no rush maybe around nov time I’ll be stocking the tank…cheers mate and keep tho vids comeing
Hey MD, loving your vids. You should give Diamond tetras a try. Diamond tetras are silver color,, but they get a smokey Grey and purple and also hints of green. They are beautiful. Also, should try doing an African river/flooded forest tank and house Congo tetras and other species. 😁
Hey MD this is just an idea for a vid i reckon alot has changed recently with all large tanks being changed was wondering if maybe a setup tour again because have'nt seen a lot of fish in a while like the pleco and everything so thought it might be a good idea for a studio's tour for all the new viewers :))
No, he gave the pleco away to a friend quite a few weeks ago now, and he wasn’t convinced the pleco was happy, and his friend keeps them, so decided it was best all round
I would love to see a corydora tank! Mine are breeding like crazy and might need to sell a lot because else my bioload can't handle them. But I love the little ones but it's mostly scaped for a beta and not ground dwellers. So if I can get some insperation for the Pandas it might help me scape my 60p aquarium for both panda and beta alike.
in my opinion, a little valineria nana was missing, it gave the aquarium a little more sense of movement. This in my humble opinion. It's excellent that way.
