Do you have a detailed video on plug reading/piston wash reading? Would be super helpful to have a detailed reference for air fuel tuning on 2 stokes that aren't forums where every joe has his 2 cents to add. Thanks
Dear Mark, I see cast iron cylinder liners in many of your videos. Do you know the material number of these liners? I want to turn a liner out of cast iron pipe myself, but there are many different types of cast iron can order and I hope you can help me further. Greatings, Jaap.
We use heat treated ductile iron. that being said i know of guys that have used durabar BUT i never have. it really depends on the application and power output.
Mark, where are you located? As I watch your videos, I see the Erickson logo along the back of your work bench. I wish it had the address underneath to go with it so I could jot it down while watching. And maybe it's there somewhere, and I'm missing it.? I'm the kind of guy who will travel a long distance to drop off a cylinder and top half of a case for you to do it right, while I take a road trip vacation. A few weeks later, you send me what you've finished, or I make another trip to come pick it up. I'm in central Fl. and next week I'll visit Xcream in Clearwater Fl. to drop off some Yamaha stuff. Maybe one day I can bring you some of my Kawasaki cylinder/case stuff.? Keep up the great video's, great work, love seeing it done! Brag on you all the time!
Hey man, great content! Sorry to highjack the chat on this video but I wanted to reach out and ask a question about some old videos. Do you still recommend the use of Assemblee Goo when rebuilding fuel components like carburetors? I used to use wheel bearing grease but found some old work I've done had an apparent reaction with the aluminum in the carbs and caused corrosion. I've been looking for something better.
