Marion is totally an artist. Women's art has been getting more attention and gallery showings in the past 20 years. It's still a 'lesser" art than men's art. Some of the art in museums done by the menfolk is completely ridiculous but sells for multimillions.
I live in Texas and my friend who lives in Ohio watch you while on the phone and love everything you do. We are asking our family’s for airfare so we can see you in person. We want to go thrifting or shopping as you make it look so fun. Please continue to post for all of us less creative so we can copy your ideas. One of your biggest fans Debra
I try to catch all your episodes since I’ve found you. And don’t even do embroidery! I just enjoy watching you. I’m always amazed at the end with the results. Thank you for providing us with such sweet entertainment!❤
Honestly Marion you're a wiz with thread! Such beautiful embroidery and loads of great skills. Love the dimensions you got in the white flowers. Great video!
Each tutorial is a treasure to me. I love the way your cat called you to come help her. That was lovely to see the bond between the two of you. Yes, I too feel like I am in a sewing circle when I listen and watch you sew, and do my hand work. Here in Idaho, the heat has been extreme, and so we have no appetite, but just relax and watch you and learn. 103 degrees F. possible tomorrow, but worse in other areas south of us. We need your rain!
Oh my goodness that's so hot! It's definitely been nicer here this last week. It actually got up to 22° yesterday (about 70°f), which is more normal for July here..🌞
Sometimes you say something I need to hear at exactly that moment. I am always too quick to lose heart when my work falls short of my desire for excellence. At my age, given my failing eyesight and arthritic fingers, my ambitions are unrealistic. Thank you for reminding me again that I am doing this for the joy in doing, not for recognition from others.
There's no doubt that it's lovely when others like and appreciate our creativity... But in the end we're doing it for ourselves..to satisfy the need we have to make things. I'd definitely still be making these things even if no-one ever saw them. In fact..until I had this channel very few people did see anything!☺️🪡🧵
Thank you so much Marion for yet another stitch path of delight. Each of these video's brings such vista's for the imagination. I like to make small center medallion lap blanket sized quilts and am always looking for new ways to make them appear more three dimensional. Your stitches are just the inspiration I needed. So thank you once again for taking time to share your talents. Here in the Pacific Northwest I grew up calling it Cow Parsley, just as you do. I thought both examples were lovely and added extra interest to your composition. We have this in our yard and it can really set me sneezing. I do wish it smelled as nice as it looks. So glad you are getting a bit of sun. I pray you have a lovely day. 😊❤
Hello Marion, such a lovely piece you are slowly stitching while showing us new tricks with your magic needle 🪡 aww love the dandelions so very cute yep so going to try this. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you, Marion ❤ I am anxious to try making your dandelions. That's representative of what is in my yard right now 😊❤ Blessings, peace, and joy, and happy stitching 😂
Thank you Marion for your video and sharing the building of the landscape with us. I love cow parsley and I do like the idea of French knots tight / lose ,brilliant idea. So nice to see the humble dandelion get an airing . It's amazing the wealth of wild flowers we have here in the UK. Here in the South we have summer for 3days according to the forecast. I shall sit and stitch outside while I can.
I am so looking forward to trying these flowers. This week I had a go at painting with acrylic paints on fabric and I also tried flower pounding. Discovered that delphiniums work really well. So much fun!
Your cows parsley reminds me of queen Ann’s lace, here in the US. Beautiful work Marion !!! I’m starting my second Kwandi, inspired by your wonderful tutorial, that I watched over & over, until I felt confident enough to try. I absolutely love making them. Thanks for your inspiration Marion !!! 🪡🧵🩵
Love both of the flowers and the crosses on the cow parsley are sooooo delicate the whole page is just great as usual you explained everything perfectly thank you Marion 🥰
Really lovely flowers, I always know your pictures will be interesting with unusual designs which make them so lovely. Loved the dandelion so much I will have to practice it so I can make a little wall hanging for a friend who likes dandelions. I made your dandelion chain a few months ago for her and myself and she absolutely loves it. See what a treasure you are to your viewers , who love your ideas and how you teach us to create them. Thank you for sharing
Hello Marian I am watching while it pours with rain outside on a farm. I feel so inspired that when the rain stops I am going out to take a photo and start an embroidery. We have 3 fields of phacelia which has purple flowers and I think that could make my picture quite interesting. I just love the cow parsley and dandelions. Thank you once again. 😊❤
I love phacelia flowers. I don't see much of it where I am but it always looks breathtaking when you see the fields covered in purple... Happy Stitching Anne.
Love the dandelions, you are such a great teacher, cant wait to get started, just love that we are making a book together, what a fab community we are, 'Marions stichers', lol ❤
Hi Marion! I Iove this piece you are working on and you are a natural teacher! I also noticed the beautiful colors of your walls and door behind you. They are soft, calming and a bit whimsical, I think. ❤😊
Hello Marion. I am really enjoying how this piece is developing - absolutely beautiful! Please don’t worry about responding to every message. It takes a few moments to send you a note, but the time involved in replying to all really will use up an awful lot of your precious day. Just knowing you read them will be enough for most people, while a few may require a small response - perhaps to a question. Besides, it will give you more time to make wonderful items that we can watch grow! Have a great week and I am already looking forward to the next stage of work on this one.
priceless! ...speaking of priceless....don't we see beautiful works from the past in thrift shops...for almost nothing. I have a lot that I "rescued" and treasure.... I really hope the amazing art that you or some others do does not end up in thrift shops....it should all be precious and displayed behind glass.
Thank you Marion for another wonderful tutorial. I wonder how you can create such beautiful landscapes with your stitching. You have such a wonderful talent. xx
So beautiful! Needed to see the dandelions shining like sun, here it's pouring rain and cold now. I'm "on the track again" 👍🧵🪡 used tulle fabric to stitch on for the sun rays and then I could make them straight 😊 The previous stitches slipped on the organza and the rays looked like whrithing worms 😅. Greetings ❤
Oh no Ingela... You don't want writhing worms in the sky! I hope you've managed to set them straight by now 😊 Maybe a pin to help them stay put till you're finished stitching...
Another beautiful piece of work Marion, you’re so talented😍Thank you for sharing it with us and looking forward to seeing more of your work. So pleased I came across your videos and can’t wait to get started. You’re such a great teacher and continue to encourage and inspire me. Thank you 🥰🪡🧵🌼🦋❤
How beautiful! ❤ I so love the flowers, you created! And your video was balm for my soul after a tiresome day, Not from the shift itself but from our extrem weather changes every day from refreshing to humide hot, so I am feeling like a sweating mess in my uniform. One more shift to go, then at least one day off, which will be sleeping, a little laundry and stitching in a shadowy place in nature where my dog can enjoy cooling baths any time: My "hold through vision" since days 🫠😉, but I don't want to sound complaining. I still love my job, the people and my colleagues plus I am so proud of myself since I built all the new shelves and drawers those past days. Means: I got some points done from my list and have more space for my books next to my bed, which looks lovely, also I got rid of some of my chaos corners. Your beautiful video was refreshing my mind together with your soothing voice and encouragement. Thank you, dear Marion. With your lovely foreground, it looks now like a shiny, slightly wavy lake, surrounded by fields in the middle of those beautiful sun rays. What an awesome summer scenery! I love dandelions so much and I will enjoy trying those and trying the other flowers as well. There is a smaller and similar kind in late summer with violett circled heads, I don't know the name, but I love it too and may try that variation or all together. Have a great weekend with peaceful warm garden moments and which whatever May does your soul good and gives you joy.
I hope you have a restful time off Hilde. Maybe you mean knapweed (centaurea nigra) 🤔 It has a beautiful thistle like flower in late summer. A really pretty plant 🌿
