Well only after a year from the bikes announcement we finally got some of the good stuff. I'm genuinely curious if I'll notice it at all or if it's just a good way to spend a boat load of money lol. I'll be sure to be giving you guys a video of my impressions at my next track weekend so don't worry. Until then, thanks for watching!

Is there any way I can convince you to send your corse oil to a lab to clear up the mystery of what this really is? I called shell several times and they refuse to provide a technical data sheet.

GTL base motor oil (gas to liquid), with a real market price of €50

As you know, motor lubricants are made up of base oils and a package of additives. Base oils are divided into 5 groups according to their composition and therefore their quality. Shell only produces group 3 (GTL) bases which are considered mineral lubricants (low quality and not recommended for sports use). For sports use you have to go for lubricants composed of group 4 bases (PAO) or group 5 bases (ESTER). As an example, brands such as Red Line, Amsoil or high-end Ravenol.

Awesome mate. I got my v4r 2 months back and its nuts. Trying to find this oil everywhere, but its difficult to find it in non-ducati showrooms.

Awesome video, man. I have a quick question. I bought my V4r a couple of months ago and had my dealership install the akrapovic undertail exhaust. I took off the low side fairings to do an oil change (thank you for the video), and the exhaust touches and burned on of the low side fairings. I called the dealership, and they told me that it is a common problem and is nothing they can do. Do you have the same problem?

Yep I had the same problem on both my base model and my R. It only burns a little bit in one area it seems and then it’s fine after it burns it away. I’ll be switching to full race body work hopefully no issues with that 😂

Waayyyy different. It really changed the bike. Way more pick up in the revs and the power was just so much sharper. About 13k it was stupid
