I found some parts I have been looking for at least a year and that I thought would be impossible to find, the original drawbar and the throttle pedal.. Never give up. I'm adding some other minor parts to bring the tractor to 100%.

👌👌👍👍 Thanks for the video! I keep a trickle charger on my 231 battery when not in use. My 231 drawbar interferes with some of the implements I use: bush hog, rotary tiller, dirt scoop, etc. So I rarely install the drawbar.

That the way to go, I have no power at the farm yet so next month I'll make a 400w solar generator with a NOCO charger-trickle charger. About the bar, I can see being in the way of some implements, so far I just have the mower and the auger, hopefully one day I'll get a tiller. But a trailer to haul wood, branches, feed etc is something I need. Thank you for your comment.

The draw bar is usually mounted with the curve downwards

Drawbar is mounted backwards I think! Two holes need to be under the tractor, the three holes on the back for a clevis hitch.

I checked that too but the only way I could make it work was with the big hole inside. The one s outside seems to be for the trailer.

Nice upgrades for the 231. Had to put a new battery in my 231 last week. Installed a new Die Hard 31P30 series. It has 850 cold cranking amps.

I hope mine is no dead beyond recharge. I'm planning making a 400w solar battery charger since I don't have power in the farm yet.

@@BUTTEWORKS look to see if a “lightning bolt” is lit up on the instrument panel display. If it’s lit up in red, the alternator may not be charging, or the indicator bulb may be blown. When you turn the key to the on position, the lightning bolt and oil pressure indicators should come on. When the tractor starts, both indicators should go out. Any questions, let me know. I have parts, operator’s, and service manuals.

@@travisricks3436 Unfortunately none of the lights work, and wiring is all except reliable. I need to rewire the entire tractor soon. I will check with a multimeter if there is any current flowing into the battery while running and if the charging cabling actually works. I have the wiring diagram so I will try to see if I get to the bottom of the problem. Thank you Travisricks3436 for you help, very much appreciated.

Nice Improvements and you have me motivated to upgrade a few things on my 231. I have orginal massey seat and thinking of that upgrade you did. Where did you buy the seat and is the 2inch riser nessacary if replacing seat? Thanks again and nice job!

Awesome upgrades. Good to see the Massey getting some love, lol. I have the same seat, foot throttle and drawbar. My drawbar angle is down. Foot throttle is a game changer. Pretty soon you are going to have her in tip top shape. Enjoyed the video.

I really enjoy your videos. I have been looking for the foot throttle pedal spring for my MF 231,but I can't find it. Any ideas on where I can get one?

Thank you for your comment. I have no idea, I was looking for this pedal for a while and found it by luck in facebook market place. That pedal is very difficult to find, However if all you need is the spring, you can buy one with the right length. They sell different lengths and K factor, (tension)

Nice M-F 231; It's always nice have your tractor set up the way it suppose to be, & nothing beats seat time on your tractor. It looks like like you need to set the camber on the front wheels. Ya just got love those M-F's.

I hope soon getting the MF ready for all the mowing and leveling I need to do. Finally with a comfortable seat and power steering working. I will look into the camber on the wheel, I though there were fix. Thank you for your comment.
