ADDING OVER 33,000 PARTS TO OUR STORE!! | BrickLink Part Out Party 6 | Parting Out 22 of LEGO 11011
In this video, the three of us part out the 22 of the LEGO Classic sets 11011, Bricks and Animals. We parted 16 sets that were very similar to this back in January and decided to get some of these a couple months ago. They have been sitting on the shelf for too long, but we finally are parting them out. These 22 sets add over 33,000 parts to our inventory! This has been a long-awaited video, so we hope you all enjoy it!

It was an amazing video guys! Great camera angles, good editing and perfect soundtrack. Most importantly, it's fun to watch you all working so well together. Keep it up and don't ever let the business or Lego come between your friendship.

It's a lot harder than expected because the parts leave our inventory at the same speed as they go in. I guess its a good problem to have, but that makes it hard to expand.

@@JustABrickInTheBucket why aren't you just making the prices higher.
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 3 года назад
@@wallesdrop3026 We have experimented with this and we do increase the prices of some specific pieces like minifigs. However at our size people will not purchase from us if we increase the price far above the 6 month sales average. As we grow that will become possible, however having a lot of sales is great. The goal is not to have lots of lots, its to sell lots of pieces. Thanks for your question, hopefully this answered it.

So I'm a Lego newbie, and I have a stupid question. When parts are generally only a few cents (I know there is sometimes a wide range in price) how is it one makes money on Bricklink?

I bought 1 item of this LEGO Classic 11011. It's a huge box with 1,500 elements plus 25 extra pieces. Lego always add extra piece to smaller elements (esp. those 1x1 in size). Imagine 22 times of this combined....I will say "good luck to inventory"

Maybe this is a noob question but can you have parts in multiple different bins with different remarks? Like if you had 3 bins of 2x4 bricks can they be in your store with different remarks?
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 2 года назад
Yes, you can put commas between remarks to separate them. I recommend you have everything in one bin though as it makes picking faster. The item will only show up once in the pick list. An alternative is to not consolidate lots and instead create a new identical lot with a completely different remark. Same issue as above, and it becomes harder to manage prices.

Great video, do you guys have a storage system on the wall ( like bricks together etc) or because you have the barcode scanner you put them in randomly?
@jbsbrickkiln9254
@jbsbrickkiln9254 4 года назад
They answered a question like this a few videos ago, they just go randomly. Since they pick orders by drawer number, not item type, it doesn’t really matter where they are on the wall.

@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 2 года назад
Hi Kortex, We did not see consistent sales until we hit over 60,000 parts and around 2500 lots in our store. By then we were able to somewhat steadily rely on an average of 1 sale per day (over the course of a month). Hopefully that helps! Keep working at it and you'll get there! Thanks for watching!

@@JustABrickInTheBucket thanks you so much for answering, i have another question. How do you apply good shipping charges on bricklink with PayPal? I always pay more fee to PayPal, specially on small orders. Kind regards
@JustABrickInTheBucket
@JustABrickInTheBucket 2 года назад
There are a few ways to manage fees with small orders. Something we like to do is have a "small order fee" which charges the buyer $3.00 on orders that subtotal less than $3.00. This helps to offset the PayPal fees for the tiny orders, as well as the labor to pick a single part or two. You can also charge a little more for shipping if you'd like, which can then be used to cover the cost of materials and labor for shipping, etc. Really those costs should all be priced into your piece costs for buyers though. We currently just have one shipping rate of $4.95 or free shipping if your spend over $49.00. This flat rate makes it simple for buyers to check out, and helps to balance out or shipping costs for small orders that only cost $3.74 to ship. Also some might cost $8.00 to ship so there is a loss there. Overall there are a variety of ways to charge for shipping. Some stores just have a minimum buy which means buyers can only place an order if they hit a certain subtotal. This helps reduce the losses on small orders. I know that was a lot of information, and hopefully it all makes sense. Thank you for watching!

@JustABrickInTheBucket

Quite well, it can be hard to tell specifically whether a part has sold as we restock over time, but I believe a large percentage of these pieces have sold, especially the bricks.
