Couple questions. What size exhaust is that? How much did that tuner run you? Btw nice wagon. I just bought a 2002 alh tdi and I’m wanting to do the same thing
It's not a tune it's just a potentiometer that changes the voltage going to the fuel pump lol. Exhaust size as far as the tip goes is a 7"×16" the exhaust on the car is just stock minus cat, and just after the rear wheels it's adapted to 4"
I have the same engine in my 2007 VW Caddy. I straight piped it and now it sounds like a mini rally car and a small truck at the same time hahahaha. It's funny to me because it's a van. I like zooming past everyone in it haha
You will be cleaning the turbo out sooner with that mod for sure. The vnt turbo has moving veins inside it that will get clogged with diesel carbon when you run it rich like that.
@junkyarddawg_6984 i think after about a year maybe 2. I just bought a jetta with an alh tdi for dirt cheap because they clogged the turbo from running bigger injectors and a stage 3 tune from malone tuneers. The turbo has to be removed and cleaned out so the little spring loaded doors that open and close inside the turbine housing can move freely. Its quite the process to pull the turbo off. I think you can spray intake manifold valve cleaner spray into the intake and that might extend the life a bit as a preventative maintenance.
It will still put out black smoke. What happens is the car will not hit boost because the ecu will see that its not boosting up to its psi level. The ecu will put the car into limp mode and hold your n75 boost control valve open. Its draivable, but it will not hit boost because the ecu keeps the n75 valve in the open position.
have a couple questions for ya, that edge display monitor. what one is it? also did the car already have all the sensors for it or did you have to do all that yourself? does it just plug into the obd2 plug and everything works? I was looking at edge's website and didnt find anything for the vw alh tdi. not trying to tune it as im already on a malone stage 4 tune just want to be able to monitor all that good shit.
Edge cts2, plug and play but it was definitely finicky on the VW platform. Worked good most of the time just didn't like syncing with the computer. Work a lot smoother on my corvette & duramax
I was running adapters cause the wheels were a different lug pattern, the studs on the adapters happened to be the same thread as a 94 blazer I had bought the nuts for haha
I know you probably won’t respond but get in touch with me. I wanna know who built this so i can buy it from him or have him make one for me. Please please please
@@wildwestdiesel Oh crap i forgot to tell you i messaged from my girls account😂 my instagram got hacked a week ago so try looking from one from bernedette
I lost my intercooler and turbo with this shit I would not recommend it to anyone especially a potentiometer one a resistor is ok but you can easily mess shit up
