I totally see where Abby is coming from saying she’s not attracted to other men. There’s a difference between thinking someone is attractive and being attracted TO them. I can notice someone is physically attractive but I’m genuinely not attracted TO anyone aside from my husband.

I can tell someone is attractive or beautiful and even think "that person looks great" but I don't feel attraction towards anyone but my partner. Then again, I always kind of found it difficult to find someone sexually attractive without an emotional connection.

I get what she means. My partner Joe and I have been together for 8years and I think he’s the most attractive man in the world. I find other people beautiful or handsome but I don’t find them more than that. Kind of like art you see it and think “cool looks beautiful” then you move on.
@annekaandersenmusic

Yes, I so agree! I'm never truly attracted to a guy unless I get to know him and we have an emotion connection first. My really strong connection with my bf is solely based on emotional connection and he's the most attractive person in the world to me because we're connected emotionally.

Literally same. If someone asks me if I find another person attractive, I would yes I can acknowledge if a man is handsome, but there is literally no attraction (in that if I could I wouldn’t want to be physical with them at all. I’ve always been told and from my experience of three pregnancies hormones don’t usually create unnecessary emotions, or really create the emotions at all. They just heighten them. So I’ve never allow myself or anyone else to make me feel bad for my hormone. Emotions are neither negative nor positive. They more like signs of what’s going on inside and hormones just make it harder to hide it all. Give lots of grace and room for emotions in times of high hormones. And when it all comes back down make sure to make good choices. Love and understanding is super needed during pregnancy and postpartum!

Try brown noise or 8D music with headphones and Abby watch him when he tries - my husband says he can see my brain shut up when I listen to these 😂 something about the frequencies are life changing for my brain! (Disclaimer - doesn't work for every adhd brain, def worth a shot!) ❤ Laughing when we shouldn't- impulse control. 😁 Struggling with emotions - naming, recognizing, working with them is also an ADHD/nuerodiverse thing. Laughing in serious situations is actually another form of adhd and it’s really just because the brain isn’t capable of triggering the correct response right away and also if its an awkward situation it’s just a way of coping and trying to not feel awkward or bad. I know it seems like he’s not being considerate of feelings or emotions but it’s just another way the brain handles sticky situations. My nephew does it when he’s getting yelled at our doing something bad and gets in trouble so it’s just trying to make the situation a little better.

@@larac.8797 Just being as understanding and patient as possible really helps especially with kids and adults who don’t even realize they’re doing it. Kinda just explain to people around you that their not trying to be mean or inconsiderate, they just have trouble responding to bad situations in the way people usually do. And it helps to identify it early so you can work on it with them, but there’s no specific therapy for it yet so it really just depends on the situation.

I think that is the only podcast I have seen without millions of ads and the only podcast I would be fine with watching ads in order to get their content .

I was a young parent at 21. That person I was and who I am now at 35 are ENTIRELY two different people. As I don’t regret my son of course, he is the best and keeps me grounded…I have a ton of missing out on my 20’s stuff I am working through now. Both positive and negatives to everything. ❤

Hey Matt & Abby! I would like to start off by saying I say “like” a lot too and Matt, there’s wrong with it! Both you and Abby have such an amazing way of brighting peoples day and relating to your audience so authentically! I promise any true fans don’t care at all! Also, I’m currently a SAHM and my husband leaves for long periods of time very so often (Military life) so with lack of friends and family near, I very so much look forward to your podcast, videos and TikTok’s. Keep doing you, you guys are awesome! ❤

My husband and I are those parents! We go to at least 1 music festival a year! It’s so much fun and so necessary for us as a couple. And our kiddo gets time with grandparents 💛

100% agree with the proper apology. I saw a video once from a man who states a proper apology is not just saying it. It is acknowledging what you did wrong, how the other must feel in the situation and what they will/won't do next time!

I wish my husband was more open and honest and wanted to talk like Matt. I love chatting and exploring things and ideas no matter how different or absurd they are. (Also diagnosed ADHD) My husband is quite, doesn’t talk about anything in detail or think about much other than his day to day. I like that about Matt.

I'm with Matt on the mood changes, my husband and I both found it hilarious when I was pregnant and my mood would change like a flip of a switch 😅
