Rashford is a purple patch player. He has had 2 good/decent seasons of all his 9yrs at utd. Even in ten hag's first season he was poor the first4-5 months till he came back from world cup and went on a purple patch till the Barcelona game in around March. 2 1/2 good months where he scored the bulk of his goals. By the time the league cup final came around, he was back to his usual inconsistent self, just walking around the pitch and neglecting his defensive duties. Players like rashford are unreliable when you're trying to win leagues because he offers nothing to the team if he isn't scoring. No creativity, no crosses, poor link up play, rarely participates in build up play or even efficient ball carrying, teribble decision maker in final third, slows down our momentum when he receives the ball outwide. Rashford shoots when he should pass and passes when he should shoot. And he isn't versatile enough to play greatly anywhere else on the pitch but on the left side. He is a counter attacking footballer in a team that wants to dominate possession. He is exceptionally good at one thing only because of his speed, run in behind from a longball or though ball, THAT'S IT! His finishing is not great either as he lacks placement or finesse in his shots, just power. Rashford still does the same mistakes he did at 18, get the ball, head down and run into blind alleys, rinse and repeat. He is about to turn 27yrs. He struggles to beat his Man 1 v 1 with dribbling or skills. Unless he knocks the ball past them then chases it he most likely will lose the ball. He is mentally weak and needs a new start with a new environment where the shirt is not as heavy as man Utd's. Maybe he might finally find some semblance of consistency before his speed wanes off and he is forced to rely on football IQ, which he severely lacks. An instincts only footballer.

I don't think Sancho was disappointing thought he put a shift in and was looking to create, but I do agree with the caller about Diallo, scored a very good goal and should of had at least 2 assists in just 1 half, i think Diallo is a wonderful player and creative not just for himself
