We grew up in small towns. The story Adeem the Artist shares in this song is all too familiar. Adeem is one of the best storytellers we have ever heard. Beyond the larger and important experience shared in this song, what feels like the biggest gift of this song is the details that bubble up in each verse.
Adeem saw a lot of press for satirizing a Jason Aldean song some weeks back but I'd encourage you to go a lot deeper than that in their catalog (linked below). Listen closely to what they are trying to share. It's deeply American and god damn beautiful. It won't take you long to see why we proclaim Adeem one of the best writers of modern country music.
We'll have Adeem back as soon as we can cross our paths again. Until then, this is "Middle of A Heart".
