What i love about Adel is that she never uses auto tune on her recordings she records them live and they remain untouched so if you listen close you can hear some imperfections which to me makes it more authentic , her voice is second to none and for me is one of the greatest vocalists of all time, not only that she writes all her own songs AMAZING .Props to the producer on this the arrangement is genius .

Love your reactions alot. When I was married I changed everything about myself and my friends and family told me that I shouldn't have to change for anyone. Divorces take alot out of people, emotionally, mentally and physically. I don't really like pop music either but adele's music just does something to my soul. She is simply asking him to be easy on her with her decision for her own happiness despite the consequences her son may come around. It explains well in the 2nd verse. In 2nd verse, she says "You can't deny how hard I've tried. I changed who I was to put you both first//But now I give up" She even bought her ex-husband a house right by hers so he could have the best of both parents. Awesome review/reaction.
It's OK to cry I did too. I went thru what Adele did, so I relate. But I blossomed once I was on my own awhile. I grew up. I found myself and then realized, I liked me. I hid a long time but once I found myself, I wasn't ashamed of me anymore. I was good. Still am. I hope only the best for Adele and her son in this new chapter.

Almost as important is to realise that you are always there for you. Have faith in your ability to get through it and know there will be better times. Treat yourself as you would a friend. If you've made mistakes, forgive yourself and try to do better. Guilt and regret are pointless emotions that just bring you down without changing what you've done. I learned this from a friend who was very unhappy about something she'd done. It went on for days. One day she seemed over it and coming back to her old self. When I asked her about the transformation she said she'd just decided that if she couldn't forgive herself, how could she expect the other person to forgive her? That was over 50 years ago and the lesson has stayed with me ever since. I'm still always trying to do better but I can forgive myself when I let myself down, make amends if I can and learn from it and move on if I can't.
