idk how much they like Mortal Kombat....its just their moves are all gimicks....they are all like double jointed moves or w.e ...so they understood if they combined their shocking moves with a shockign theme(MK) then they would have a better performance

Yes, in real life there was a tournament held. The movie "Bloodsport" was based on the real life Frank Dux who competed in the Kumite. Jean-Claude's character is what inspired Johnny Cage, the Kumite is what inspired the Mortal Kombat tournament, and the Black Dragon Society were present in the Kumite. NOT as villains or thieves, but the hosts of the Kumite.
