Been subscribed for ages! But only just dove into your content with this video. This was great! I love the paint jobs and the shots of the armies at the beginning was very cinematic. Love it. Any advice on how to teach your partner how to play Warhammer?

Thank you my friend! I think talking about the coolest parts of the hobby (most epic things in the lore, or a badass moment you had in the game) and therefore infecting them with your own enthusiasm. But it really ultimately comes down to a person and your luck. If they can like it - they will. If they don’t - nothing you do is likely to change that. Good luck 😉

Great Armys in this Batrep. Love it. @Anna: On this open board take 2 Calladius for some shooting options and don't use the FnP from the Wardens to early. Remember you can put one custode back to the unit for one CP.

Hahah, I assure it wasn’t to fake the roll. I just use an automated software to cut out all the “uhhh, mhhh” sounds and it does that sometimes😂

Question: If your entropy cannons fire at custodes who have a 2+, do they actually benefit from cover since cover cannot lower your armor save below 3+? Or do I have that wrong?

Yep, cover always works no matter what if any amount of AP is involved, the only way it doesn’t is when AP0 fires at 3+ in cover, then it doesn’t become 2+.

The Rattlejoin ague contagion isn’t +1 ap but -1 save which is important as you can’t negate it cover, also you should declare which one your using during battle formation at the start.

I really enjoy the “story based” intro. Also, with Mortarion’s ability, the enemy doesn’t get cover because it is a modifier to a “test or roll” taken by the PBCs.

Thank you! I’m not sure you are correct about cover though - as cover is a mod that applies to the save of the target, not the PBC itself. So it’s like Morty not being able to turn off buffs that enemy units have.

Apart from stating the slightly obvious here (great paintjobs, really pretty girl) I also wanted to mention that a 2000 pts army with half of the points spent on special characters is maybe not the best representation of this game. I would really prefer to see some more troops battling it out :). Everything else is awesome, keep up the good work!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I do try to keep lists representing the breadth of the units as much as possible whilst keeping things competitive enough so that it’s interesting for less casual players out there, it’s a dance for sure. Though I think you’ve overestimated the amount of pts we’ve invested in characters- it’s only 520 for DG and 510 for Custodes, so just over a 1/4, which is the standard almost for 2000pts armies🤗

It’s our copy of his beautiful work, took a couple of months for our painters to paint up but it was worth it. Sort of like a challenge - can we imitate a GD winner or not😄

custodes lost in list building, in my experience, the forgeworld terminators as well as a contemptor dreadnought can smash DG, you just need to shy away from the damage 2 options and try to have as much AP as possible, then castle with a telemon, some aquilons, some sagittarum, and a contemptor (better to use the achillus over the galatus for those smelly guys)

you're listing every bad unit in the book..... Competitive lists are all 3x5 wardens usually some allarus for up and down tricks, sometimes gaurd + Drax , sometimes tanks.

You’re lucky she loves you… I’ve seen that look in my own girlfriend’s eyes… smart enough to know what she’s doing, but knows she’s not going to win. So she’s not super invested in the game. Hey! What are you talking about?😦 I’m truly sorry that your girlfriend is not a big fan of Warhammer, but I am though. I love playing and I always ask Yuri myself to play with me. And I often win hehe😄 As a matter of fact I was the one who sparked his interest in Warhammer, not otherwise. I found his brother’s necron model and asked him to teach me how to play it. That’s when Yuri’s Warhammer journey started. I call units “guys” because AC is still a new army to me (previously I played with IK), and because I like to call them like this. So with all due respect - you’re absolutely wrong, sir. But thank you for your concern, I appreciate it.

Ann is the one who actually returned ME to Warhammer first many years ago and later I “contaminated” Yuri, who hadn’t been that interested in the game and especially not in the hobby part of it (and now paints like a pro)😂. And all that basically means that both of us play because of her and not the other way around. She is our Custodes General 🫡

The reroll says to reroll a single die… when you’re charging that means you can reroll the lower number. Not both… 😊

The charge roll constitutes both dice and therefore Command Point RR gives you ability to RR both, moreover you can’t choose to keep one of the dice, you have to RR both.
