Two wound Chaos Space Marines! Tempest of War! A special guest host! With these factors we have an incredible game of Chaos Space Marines vs Adeptus Mechanicus.
Tak is back with the Adeptus Mechanicus and he is up against his arch-nemesis playing Chaos Space Marines. This was shot before the balance update so we did not use Armour of Contempt but we house-ruled the two wounds for the Chaos Space Marines.
We play Tempest of War for the first time as well and had a blast. It made for a very compelling and dynamic game between the powerful Adeptus Mechanicus codex and the soon-to-be-updated Chaos Space Marines.

Many of the Chaos Space Marine models used in this game, including the model in the thumbnail, are proxies from Ravaged Star: Armies of the Veil-touched. They are awesome! gamefound.com/projects/miniwargaming/ravaged-star The miniature in the thumbnail is Lord Tyrach on Breacher being proxied for a Lord Discordant on Helstalker in this game. Proxies allowed us to create a very unique looking force. The miniatures are from our good friend Miniwargamer Dave.

Not a fan of blatantly ripping off GW and monetizing it. You want to print an alternative model here and there? Fine. Doing a entire line of models and calling them something else, when they are clearly just CSM, ( I mean they have all of the same armor designs and marks for gods sake.) Is fake as hell. I have been called a shill for this opinion and I don't really care. Stealing is stealing and these models are just un original theft. At least with things like Pipers makes tau he went with a much more anime theme. Though I still don't like using a entire army of those ether. Besides now that GW has remade almost the entire CSM line there is no reason to search for better looking models.

Long story short if the channel keeps pushing these models I'll for sure not be watching it anymore. I know I am just one viewer and if you have a piece in ravaged star rip offs it won't be off set much but it's worth letting yall know.

that would be fun but would require lots of editing. Perhaps a way to make this work would be Steve as Narrator, Commentator, the one who created both armies, the one who picked the secondaries, the one who picked the map and finally giving both players a guideline on what kind of strategy to use.

Just a little error. Red Corsairs can't use Veterans of the Long War. Specifies in the stratagem that Renegade Chapters can't use it.

This is definitely the best game so far on this channel. The scores were so close. Was exciting from beginning to the end. Both Tak and Mubin displayed their great attitude even with the amount of units lost in the 1st turn. Always enjoy the content you guys do. Keep it up!!!

Great game and production as always. Also, really liked the dynamic of changing secondary objectives and the clear explanation of the secondaries. Perhaps a game where secondaries change every turn as an experiment as commanders give the front line troops constant stream of orders to try and counter the enemy? For those that score in the next turn, that continues into the next turn in addition to the new orders in that turn.

something my group has done before: a player chooses a few secondaries, then their opponent decides which one they use at the start of each round it doesn't balance well :)

@@dinkledord7026 no mate. I mean as they have done in this game with random secondaries drawn every turn but those that haven't been completed in the last turn are discarded (with the exception of those that are scored in the next turn which are discarded after they could be scored).

As a MWG fan, love to see all the collabs you do with them, and just amazing paint job on the Veil Touched. Followed up by one of the best battles in a long time. Wow that game was tight. So well played, well done guys. Can't wait for my Veil Touched Minis, Kinda sad that a proxy wasn't used for that sh*tty old Huron model. That thing needs a reprint more than anything I have seen. Which is sad because I really like Huron Blackheart as a Character, he's super interesting. I hope that Dave hosts more of these, especially so Tak can be out sellin more T-Shirts. ;)

I would like to see one game where the Ad Mech don't go first! Their firepower is scary! Love the channel and im getting back into Warhammer 40k after not playing since 3rd edition great to see these battle reports while waiting for minis to be delivered.

there are reports out there like that. unfortunately it is very hard for them to stay relevant in later turns without a devastating round 1. the big swingy neutron lazers an similar firepower misses and the rest of it ends up feeling ineffectual
