Both fights had everything, great history, great build up, 2 world class strikers, that David vs Goliath vibe. Won't see any of this for a while, unless Alex somehow wins the LHW belt and Izzy moves up to finish the trilogy.
And when you factor in that Izzy could hardly stand on his left leg after tearing his meniscus in training, the result even more impressive. It’s why he was getting kicked, he couldn’t check and movement compromised. 😊
Because he was destroying Perierra until he got caught. I new this will happen , not like the haters' claim that Izzy loses to Pereira in 10/10 fights. No pereira win was a one sided beating. Adesanya was not below Pereira level.
I expected a round 3 ko or tko by Izzy. I knew he had the skills to beat Alex and I believed that he was now even more motivated and driven than he ever was. I was wrong about round 3 but it played similarly to how imagined. Alex's leg kicks are amazing though
After 4 tries it was only a matter of time. Adesanyas too good to lose 4 in a row to anyone. Technically 3 in a row it wldve been had he lost to Pereira on this night. Their 1st kickboxing fight was a decision that wrongfully went to Pereira.
@@lazz7169 Leon was no champion of note before getting the the ko against usman, Izzy was. Izzy was so dominant a champion that people thought his time was up and no way he could recover from pereiras defeat especially seeing that Pereira had him beat in previous encounters.
This gives a different angle to this fight. I thought Alex was winning before the KO but this video shows a completely different fight. Izzy was surely winning the 2nd round by a long shot.
