We are happy to present our new release 'Adharatiya Jhumoor"' by KHAR BROTHERS which is a traditional jhumoor folk blended with some modern day grooves.
About the project : The song represents the brotherhood and the eternal bonding of friendship.
It is called 'Adharatia' which means midnight as it is said to be performed during that hour, sung during the festival of Karam at the ekadashi (11th moon).
It is a folkloric melody of the tea garden community of Assam. Kushal Sabar has added some additional elements into it beautifully which completes the song.
Meaning :
Dew alone can never make a bloom, without rain,
My heart can only atone if you are seen.
Like the lily opening silently after the day is passed,
Our feelings will never fade, even when we no longer last.
Ohh friend, why at this witching hour?
Why linger till this death of night?
When am waiting for you with restless heart and weary eyes...
Ohh friend, why at this witching hour?
Why linger till this death of night?
Now you have come my friend...
Let me wash your feet with my tears...
And kiss it dry.....
Ohh my companion (wife)
Please see to it.
Ohh heart of my heart,
Soul of my twin flame,
We will be together
Talking to eternity
