Thank you so much for all your videos and work with this! I'm a father with ADHD and at least 3 of my boys have it also. Literally a WWE Fatal 4-way match with a 17, 15, and the scariest one...the 6 yr old😂 We are doing better by implementing your advice, and hope to possibly work with you soon. ( Sidenote my son, said what if the parent is the one breaking Xboxes to get their kids to comply😔)

Thanks so much I appreciate hearing that. Please tell your son that the parent then has to "clean it up" with the kids. 😁

Overall I like this approach. Not giving attention, and putting out in the open❤ One critical thought- Guilt and shame are different. Constructive guilt seems more accurate. I agree someone should feel guilty for mistreating someone, but they shouldn't feel like they are a bad person for making a poor choice(shame). Might just be all the Brene Brown I've consumed.

What about a kid who wakes up in the morning and starts cutting with a knife or any sharp objects cables, shoes, breaks spectacles and breaks phone screens...flashes items in the toilet

I can't answer this without knowing the child's age, or any other information.

Would your program be suitable for a 3 year old ? We just ended OT but continue to need help. When my daughter doesn’t get her way and I try to ignore her negative behavior and walk away to do something else, she cries so hard she holds her breath and passes out, it’s extremely scary.

I would not expect OT to help with a 3 year old. I'd suggest Dr. Siggies program for her age.

What Worked for My "Tyrannical" Behavior as a Child Was: 1) School Bus Drivers Threatening to Call the Cops (Police). 2) My Sister Pretending to be on the Phone with the Cops.

Some Theripist say it’s fine to call the police on the child.

We just had to do this exact thing. 12 year old boy got violent and he had been told this would be the consequence. This was over a month ago now and what a difference in this child! He is respectful, loving and thoughtful once again. The experience was not a pleasant one for him (or us) but I don't think he wants to have a repeat of it.

That’s true. I feel it could go either way. but when I was a kid and my mom called the cops on me- boy that helped me tremendously 😂 I still thank my mom for that. They threatened to take me to the “funny farm” if I didn’t stop. Well I surely stopped 🤦🏽‍♀️

Same premise, this is covered in Scaffolding Better Behavior. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ocG-xxSzHfE.htmlsi=W7Tnl91WyAOyMA0x
