ADHD Mindfulness Meditation (Guided) - 30-Day Transformation

ADHD and Mindfulness dont often go together and yet, studies have found there to be helpful and positive effects when testing mindfulness meditation excercise on people with adult adhd. A handful of studies have found self-regulation, mood as well as attention to all be improved when conducting regular and consistent mindfulness sessions. Mindfulness therefore seems to be a fitting technique to naturally medicate adhd, by increasing focus aswell. You will find the sources listed below. I would therefore encourage ANYONE with Adult ADHD to try doing this 10 minute, guided meditation for the next 30 days, during self-isolation. This is no myth and although it might pose a challenge, it is definitely worth a try. There is no better time than now!

For me this is day 10. So far I've noticed a difference. I'm a lot more present than I was before. Before my mind would take off to Mars and before I knew it, it was at Jupiter. But now i avoid the ship more, if you catch my drift.

@@hasuiify hey there. I now do a different guided meditations for mindfulness and positive thinking everyday (i noticed doing the same one bored me too much and i found myself not listening after awhile). I've notice a significant difference. Not only do i notice when I'm thinking too much, and catch my negative thoughts, i also notice my intuitive voice more and it's amazing because the first thing i think about a situation is always right. It's giving me confidence in my thought process which adds ease to my life. When i think something and act on it then and there without questioning it, I'm never disappointed. When i question things, i realize that i was right the first time and should have listened. This is what they call being mindful, recognizing your thoughts. Too often with ADHD we are just thinking and letting our thoughts pass us by, not even recognizing or remembering what we were thinking about. With mindful meditations, we literally notice our thoughts and learn to quiet them more. It can become a powerful tool. I look forward to continued mindful meditation everyday 🙏🏾

My struggle with ADD is mainly getting off my ass and doing the things which I need to do in life: Completing chores, paying bills on time, controlling impulse spending, getting motivated to stick at long term projects. I seriously hope this will work for me. I've struggled for so long and really need something to help me soon. Fingers crossed. 🤞

I know how you feel. i've struggled with all the stuff you mentioned along with the inevitable stress, anxiety, and depression that all these symptoms carried with them like luggage. When I finally researched ADHD it all clicked and after becoming aware I started noticing extra little stuff that further confirmed my suspicion. I'm seeking help from a professional but in the meantime hope these videos help ground me to what my purpose is and stop getting so drifted away by my thoughts and impulses.

Some mantras that helps me are: 1. Future me does not exist yet, and past me doesn't exist anymore. (This helps me focus on the present, realizing that what has been and what's to come has no significance right now) 2. This moment is the only reality. (The only thing I know for sure exists is this moment. I know I am here, I know I am breathing, I know only that I exist here and now) 3. Let go. (Anytime I notice that my mind has drifted, I repeat this to myself. It helps me bring me back to the moment, and I find it connects to my breath and how my body is feeling, e.g. "letting go" is related to long breath out, relaxing the body etc.) Don't know if this helps anyone, or if anyone is still here, but I thought I'd share just in case :))

i’m speaking about my personal experience… during my July vacation, i’ve meditated every single day for almost a month and i notice such a difference: i stopped thinking about other things during my studies, i was much more concentrated. But in august, i stopped, dont know why, i just stopped and i felt all the benefits becoming less present in my life. So i decided restart meditating every day, i recommend to every single person

Hey thanks for your comment. Mindfulness meditation is not about suppressing thoughts and trying to be focused but more about accepting the thoughts that come up. Try to just view them objectively from afar instead of suppressing them and you will get far friend. Don't worry, this is something I had to also learn when starting out!

@@adhdvision Thank you for your reply and advice. I will definitely give it another go. Well, a lot of people with ADHD unfortunately have gut issues, bad bacteria and a lot of histamine. You may have histamine intolerance. At least, try to change your diet - cut out cheese, coffee, take DAO pills, avoid avocados and spinach, alcohol. Research histamine intolerance.

I had recently experienced a very long episode of anxiety, induced partly, or most likely wholey by my ADHD, I just couldn't calm myself, my favourite music wasn't working, I'd phase into intrusive thoughts seconds into listening, I felt like I couldn't keep up just existing without some form of release. For two days, I had no relief, no sleep that lasted longer than 20-30 minutes, then bam, 2 minutes of my brain being deathly quiet, I cried. Finally relief! Only this was my depression hopping on the wagon and a few minutes later straight back into it again, this time hating myself and not my anxiety for being this way, this lasted for three days before I knew I had to do something, SOMETHING HAD TO WORK! So I told myself I'd try meditation. on day one, I couldn't believe how I felt during and after, my stomach had been in cramps for days, panic seizing my heart almost every time I stopped to think, and then... calm. True calm. I had never felt this way in my life. I cried tears of joy and vowed I would see this through, because to be able to do this in my every day life will be huge. I'm now on day 5, I look forward to my meditation time, I've managed to look around my room and see objects and their significance, without sparking off a cascading thought process, I can just move past them, viewing them objectively, haven't quite gotten to my thoughts like this though, but I'm so excited to go forward. Thank you so much!

Probably the only ADHD meditation that works for me. See, unless you have ADHD and learn from those experiences while teaching others how to cope and thrive with it, other videos come off as generic, under stimulating, and frankly, too clinical from those who don't have it. Your channel is different, it just......works for me. Like it clicks in and I just go from there watching your content and try to turn ADHD into a benefit rather than against myself (I am none of the lies and put downs people did to me directly or indirectly). Day 3 of doing this meditation and I am seeing results already. Your pacing is excellent and keeps my mind/body engaged throughout the whole thing without putting me to sleep (a common thing my wife has picked up on when I am tired and we meditate together) lol.

I started with this guided meditation 1,5 month ago, as I take adhd medication since the beginning of this year, I found a hard time to create the balance with exercise, meditation and set my emotions. I’m so grateful to find help on the meditation, it take the anxiety out of me and give me so much more clarity to keep going on my journey! For all people with ADHD that never tried meditation or gave up, please try again, 10 minutes daily of this can change your life.

Great meditation! Was just gonna say it anyone with ADHD struggling with this, I realised that my struggles were because I was trying to inhibit my natural tendency to move/stim. Maybe try moving around while doing it, I stretch my arms, or touch my skin. It doesn't distract me, in fact the act of trying to remain still creates sensory imbalance and makes it more difficult.

so i decided to start this meditation outside in my hammock, i followed the breathing and within a minute i had thoughts like “i should get something to eat” or “shouldn’t i be doing something right now”, but over the next few minutes i got used to seeing them like clouds. it was refreshing to not be overwhelmed for once. the breaths felt like a river of oxygen flowing through my body, letting me relax. after i opened my eyes when the meditation was done i just appreciated the trees and the smell of the air. and then my dog came right up to my face to say hello:)

I do 10 minutes of exercise before doing this meditation, and I see such a huge difference. I pay more attention to my surrounding, I feel like im slowing down (in the best way possible), I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with doing several things at the same time (e.g. eating, while watching TV and being on my phone). I just want to do one thing and be fully mindful of it while doing it. I'm on day 14 now. I recommend anyone who struggles with ADHD to give this a go. My mood has never been better. I haven't felt like this in a very long time. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO !!!!

Thank you… it’s nice to know I’m not alone… feeling so much all the time … constantly just feeding itself. Always describing my own thoughts back in awful or emo ways… just ty. I crave calm

Definitely feeling more relaxed after listening, and want to try doing this everyday. The problem will be getting my adhd brain to remember and stick to it 😬

The first thing I liked about this was that's it's only 10 minutes long. When someone does a 45 minute ADHD meditation, you know they don't understand ADHD. 10 minutes is about my maximum. Any more than that and I'm somewhere else completely. Looking forward to giving this a go for the next 30 days.
