This song was originally composed, written and sung by Dr Anand Chellappa and recorded (78rpm) in 1964 and again rerecorded in 1985 and included in "Yesuvin Naaman" Album (33rpm). Many people copy and sing but do not mention the original composer's name. Here you CAN NOT have the copyright of this song. You have already copied and advertising for money making.
I agree. Do you think selling a Christian Song copyright to BMG Cresendo, Sony , HMV for commercial purpose is right? And the same person is claiming the song was given by Holy Spirit to him. Antony V Dr. Anand Chellappa's first recording in 1961 he was paid Rs 450.00 which was donated to Capron Hall high school Madurai to make a teakwood Cross for the school prayer room. Good wishes. If we can always create and sing new songs to the glory of God, it would be great. Generations change, music change, logistics change. It is always good to bring the old ones to new colors for the glory of God, so that the new generations enjoy and sing the praise of God in the new way. Why not? Otherwise, won't the old ones simply go unnoticed eventually? When someone does redo the old (traditional) songs, whether be only singing or new music or etc, YES as you said, they have to mention/acknowledge where it was originally from, etc. It is good to do that, otherwise it is a good chance people think it is originally from this people. With respect to some other people's replies for your comment, I would like to say something. This is not like cinema. In cinema, the glory only goes to humans, not to God. And the money goes to the person without having any praise or glory to God. Here for gospel and/or christian songs, since these are songs about God, we can say, in the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that this is for the glory of God. Also, whatever we do nowadays, it is not like the old days, you know. Every where you look around, you have to pay money. I am talking about the video taking, audio recording, putting a setup, decorations, etc. They do not come free. Who would give it for free? People who work on this have family and children. Also, in old days, there is no concept of copy-right etc. because there is no concept of copying that much. Also, in this, we do not even know if these people say they have the copyright of the song lyrics etc. When you are lead by the spirit to go to a night bar to save a dying soul, you have to at least act like the bar-goers, to your extent, to enter the bar. Do we really know if one is doing this only for money or only for personal fame or for the Glory of God? Each of us can take our stand and answer our God. However, people who remake or redo the old songs, should acknowledge the original song writer and composers as much as possible.

Fr .Benny Voice and Fr.Dennis Vaiz are they both same or different fathers!! Fathers seem to be notorious copy right violators subjected to imprisonment of $250 000.00 fine for copy right violations in USA where Dr Anand Chellappa Commander American Navy (retd) lives in USA and all his songs are registered with copy rights in South Carolina USA with LOVE AND LIGHT PRODUCTIONS COPY RIGHT 1987 and HMV and Columbia recordings in Madras(Chennai) with copy rights as early as 1961 recorded under the supervision of Late Mr.Thangaia Director HMV. Fr.Dennis Vaiz deeply regretted and apologized and even willing to apologize in front of all the Madurai people where Dr.Anand is expected to give a concert in near future.(Refer to Tamil Chritian Networks). Indian copyright law says, 30 years after death of author the copyright expires. You need to extend it, otherwise it can be used by the public. I guess the copyright is in the name of Mr.Thangaia , HMV. So after the death of Mr.Thangaia anyone can use it.
