Adidas ADIOS PRO 3 Initial Run

I just bought the adios pro 2 on clearance!

I got a pair of the Adios Pro 2. I thought it was a little too firm for me in the forefoot. I have the PrimeX and really like it. Shoe will easily last 450-500 miles. I will say lightstrike pro takes a few runs to break them in. The upside is that foam really lasts and gets better. PrimeX helps you because even in hard efforts you feel really good the next day. That was the opposite of the Pro 2 for me. I can appreciate people that like a firmer ride. Since I’ll be marathon training I’m also thinking about impact on my body with all those miles. I’m going to return the 2s for a 3 and try that out. I’m also going to get the Endorphin Pro 3s because of the great reviews and Speed 3s. I’m going to wait on the Alphafly until I get close the marathon and decide if I want to race in that or the vaporfly. I’ve had friends who have the Sky+ and love it but they say it’s firmer than Pro 3 and may be better suited for half marathon. I’ll wait on considering the Sky+ until I see other reviews of 100+ miles and longer runs. It’s a shame that Nike got rid of the peg turbo. They gave the market to the Speed. There isn’t another shoe that versatile and good in that range.

That cutout on the pinky toe is something that would want me to just stick with the adios pro 2. I also feel that with the adios pro 2 and 3, going down half a size is necessary as well. Personally, I think the Adios Pro 2 looks better. The 3 looks like they cut random bits and pieces around to reduce weight.

There was a 30% discount promotion for this shoe. It’s very rare adidas allow their latest releases to be discounted. I got a pair at $175 before tax. I also notice this new version is not as hyped up as its previous two versions. All sizes are available.

I like the Adios Pro 1 and the Prime X, but I don't enjoy running in the Adios Pro 2 that much. Now I am thinking about to get the Adios Pro 3, Metaspeed Edge + or the Enddorphin Pro 3. What would be your choice?

I had the V1 and always had this problem of annoying squeaking noise on my left side. Eventually the foam all came apart at about 400km+ and I saw 2 rods inside were snapped. Finally I knew what caused the annoying sound. I just got a pair of V2 (as a gift and still inside the box) . I know you didn't really fancy the V3. But how do you compare the V1 over the V2? Tq

Got Adios Pro 3. I found it was hard to get the shoes locked down. When I put them on I found the top of my feet felt pressure before I tied up the laces. I had plenty of room In the toes so going up a half size wouldn’t be an option. The upper is plastic like and it didn’t really form to my foot. It’s probably my least favorite upper on any super shoe. It definitely has more foam than V2 and it’s a different ride. The lightstrike pro feels more connected in this version wirh the carbon fiber roads connected. But I felt the ride was pretty boring. Unlike the Vaporfly or Alphafly, I had to focus on putting effort to go faster where wirh the Vaporfly or Alphafly or metaspeed, they pushed me forward. Decent bounce that got better over several runs. It was hard to pick up the speed to anything more than half marathon pace. The shoe wants to cruise at a certain pace like the cruise control on a car. I found the ride in the PrimeX more fun and bouncy. The feeling you get is eh. I wouldn’t race in this as there are better options in Vaporfly, Alphafly, Metaspeed Sky+ and I’m getting the endorphin pro 3 (which has had very solid reviews). Ultimately, I returned the shoe since I wouldn’t really use it much in my rotation. I can see this being a good long run and marathon shoe for the right person. Better half marathon shoes out there. And if you really like V2, you might not like v3 because they are very very different. These days you should make sure whatever shoe you get you can return them. Everyone will have a different experience.
