I think The Kobes are kinda ahead of its time, somehow like the Foams yet somehow different. While the Foamposite 1 was too beautifully unique in terms of tech and aesthetics for the 90s that more people only started to find it gorgeous after a decade or so later (not me though - fell in love with it when I first saw it in 97), The Kobes were too weird even for the early 2000s. Now that weird has become what’s cool and stuff like Astroboy boots get sold out, it’s the perfect time for Adidas to remake or make new ones inspired by The Kobes.

I still have my Adidas Playoff Kobe 1’s and 2’s from the 2000’s. Those things hurt like hell to play in. But they were Kobe’s so I had to rock them 💯🙏🏽 RIP Mamba

The silhouette is gorgeous and as touched on earlier in the vid its timeless - even though its from the 00s it fits today. The silhouette is so much nicer than the glove and has so much more versatility. Excited for more colorways.

@@Bookiej19 I went a half size up. It fits very similar to the Kobe Crazy 1. It would've been too tight for me even if the padding breaks in over time like most people say.

I couldn’t wait for these to drop. I recently just got a pair of the yellow KB one. Reminiscing about my young days when they originally came out so I had to have these. Ordered them off of Adidas confirmed app receive them the very next day! I’ve only tried them on, but they’re super comfy and I ordered the same size as my KB ones 11 1/2.

I dug up an old SLAM presents: KICKS magazine where they interviewed the designer of the Kobe and the KobeTwo, and they specifically mentioned that performance was an afterthought for this line.. they were mostly emphasizing the audi aesthetic and sleek futuristic look. They were well aware they weren't flexing like they should but they were just focused on them looking as futuristic as possible. Makes sense bc even the OGs and especially the twos felt like trying to play on Timbs.

These look verry good. I think they were too futuristic for the 2000, but now with all of the foam shoes and dad shoes making them trendy. These adidas shoes are cool

Hello Chris and madam. I had the Adidas Kobe 2 which I regret not owning anymore. They were already at the time very particular and imposing with in addition this part of the top which covered the laces. But these Adidas Crazy infinity 2.5 are bigger. They squeeze the feet "because" of the padding inside but will adjust while wearing them I think and maybe a bit short as the space between my big toe and the end of the shoe is not very big . But half a size up would be a mistake. So to see over time. But for those who want to step out of the ordinary and don't care what other people think, these adidas are for you. T.U. 4 Ur vids.

I remember watching players slide all over the place in all versions of the crazy lineup. I never knew they weren’t supposed to be performance shoes. Now it all makes a little more sense. I kind of liked them brand new but a little wear and they look like junkyard shoes.
