Feeling like 11yo again! Shape is the truest to the original. OG had higher heel construction, was more padded and nylon allover. Bubble is at last the OG Big one! There were tons of copyright issues and NIKE could not make the shoe as it was back in 1991. Air unit was indeed caged to protect it from popping and shoe from flattening while running. Moreover, in terms of comfort, these shoes were a pinnacle. Thanks for the review!
Found out Footlocker coming out with the Curry 4 retro. And I just got some online at the Footlocker store. And wanted to find a review on em. And the first place I thought of. Was WearTesters. Great work bro. I wonder if you will do another review on em. Maybe they slightly made different or the same.
When the screen used shoes were featured on Pawn Stars, they say Jumpman Jordan and not Jumpman Jam. So have we ever had a release exactly like the pair in the movie? 🤔
Thankyou for reveiwing these as an old head i needed you and only you for a reveiw of the 180's in a non hyped manner ,,,cheers guys all the way from Australia ,,oh and we australians love the underrated nikes ,,,air stabs ,structures and many other runners ,,,i woùld love to see nike icarus return and the 91 -92 tailwind ( not sure on the exact name)
The cover for the air unit, YES! it was into the originals. Not hard enough to save it of getting "a flat wheel"... in case of step over a nail or broken glasses... Anyways, I didn't had this model, but the force 180 pump (David Robinson) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ji3okLpVT0s.html - with the same air unit (yes! i'm 50 YO....) back in that time. Good job Chris and your partner in crime. Regards from the sunny Spain ;)
I have never been a big fan of the Air Max 180, as much as it's an amazing design. BUT, the Air Force 180.... I NEED THEM BACK. My top 5+1 Superman Batman Wolverine Professor X Silver Surfer 6th man - Captain Marvel or Hulk or Spidey, can't decide villains Thanos Darkseid Joker Loki Venom 6th man - Galactus or Magneto
Could you compare these to the most recent pair of yhem? I just got them from Poizon and I'm curious how theyre built etc vs these OGs. Thanks nightwing2303 :) been here with you on YT for ages haha
There was a shoe brand years ago called Ektio that made anti roll shoes. I bought several pairs before they went out of business. Cool to see another brand trying to minimize ankle rolls
I am very skeptical about the bumper. If your ankle already rolled that way and can't get back, you will get a much greater turn on the ankle, much harder and more damaging. It could pull your tendon there at much greater distance than it should, might break it clean.
Ahooohhh! Would have thought, that you, as an og head, would be with your head in the clouds with this shoes ! Dont blame you for not going into the dept and having all facts straight regarding these shoes 😂! But still I enjoyed your vid man! Keep it up!
@WearTesters what do you think about the “Phillipines”? They are white, red, blue and grey with the jumpman in gold. I’m seeing them at $99 but haven’t seen any good review on them so don’t know if the materials are the same as these? Any insight by would be appreciated.
Hey Chris, I had them back in 1991 and I can confirm the bubble was already hard at the time. from what I heard it was made to give client insurrance that the bubble would not be cut or pierced or broken by anything on the ground
