The only thing holding India back is themselves. In the last 40 years the comparison between India and China is laughable. Look at Infrastructure, wealth creation, simple personal safety , pollution and healthcare. As an Indian, there many things that worry me. First among them is that over the last 5-6 years, the Indian government has enlisted several American consultancy brands for tens of thousands of projects in India. These are massive technology and infrastructure projects, many of them crucial to national security, and in-depth knowledge of all this lies in the hands of PWC, Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Co., etc. As a nation, we are going down a very wrong strategic path.

We become dumber each generation forward from the tools we created. Tools in general term such as Policy, economics, investment, health care, law and order, science, history, engineering, construction, entertainment, problem solving ,,, almost every problem has one or more tool, we seldom think about the root cause. Disease can be treated with medicine without a clear root cause. Leading to decline of general health and mental health. We are just a tool or component in the infrastructural civilization. Our rulers also think less in root cause and apply more with age old fixes.
