They should re-release Ramayana: Legend of Prince Rama, in theatres..absolutely loved the anime style artwork and in-depth detailed depiction from the scriptures..Yugo Sako needs to be given the honor and respect he deserved.
It was already released in India Japanese film festival only in delhi, the owners asking people for screening. Whoever wants to do the screening should contact their official page, or if you have contact with PVR ask them to do the screening for it. they are already doing screening of lots of Japanese Anime

The characters "Ram" and "Lakshman" had great bond as brothers. The plot of the villian was good. The female lead looked beautiful in saree and had good chemistry with "Ram". Overall, "Main hoon na" was a nice movie to watch 🙂
Being a Muslim me and my parents had watched every episode of Ramayan. As a 5-6 year old kid I didn't understand the deep meaning or message it conveyed in those days but knew it was about Hindu religion and Lord Rama, Sita and their exile period of 14 years, Raavan and Lord Hanuman. I still remember the title song that would play in the beginning. I remember how people would flock to watch Ramayan and would literally touch feet of the actor who played Lord Rama whenever he was spotted in a public place. Infact the actor who played Raavan was shown to be so respectful even when he was at War. Lord Hanuman's character was played by Dara Singh and that was so pure, innocent and dignified. People were so respectful because it was not just a TV show for them it was about Hindu religion and it's valuable teaching. It was about Indian culture. We had even watched Mahabharata on TV after few years. And certainly I remember some verses from Mahabharata too which help us in our life. "Karm kar phal ki iccha na kar" Lord Krishna's advice to the Pandavas. Making movies for money is a different thing and making movies to convey a good message is another. This movie doesn't want to convey any message here about Sanatan dharm, it's just for making money. We have read books too.....This isn't Ramayana.

Good lord. When was welding mask invented and when did ravan used - Uses a BAT as his vehicle. Cmon. He used Pushpaka Vimana - 10 heads of Ravan are in 2 rows. Was is the screen size small ? - Hair cut is 2020 style , with edging (same like Virat Kohli) Sita - They put sleeveless jacket for Sitha character and also exposed Navel liberally. - Not to mention the Hijab put on her. - No sindhoor. There is a sticker. (oh did we have stickers several thousand years ago ?) - oh she did go to beauty parlour and waxed her underarms so she can wear sleeveless. - She gives Hanuman bangle instead of Anguleeyakam (ring). Why this distortion So sad portrayal !!! Hanuman - - Has beard, and pony tail but no moustache ??? (why ??) - Dialouges like a Seema faction movie Laxman - Has beard but clean shaven chest. Why ? Watched it today. Hanuman ji's dialogue of कपड़ा तुम्हारे बाप का, जलेगी भी तुम्हारी, etc were really hurtful. We worship him. This was totally unacceptable. Totally bullshit, totally disastrous. it's an insult to our Gods . Not only boycott but this should be banned.
This is a lesson to Telugu stars to stick to their regional creators staying away especially from bollywood and their 'renowned' critics. Once tollywood has started being pan India. Each movie they did was in so much of scrutiny and criticism which was never the case before. Before if Telugu people didn't like any movie they were never into such widespread discussions no matter how sensitive the topic i.e they have been many controversial mythology movies from different perspectives before or let it be caste or something else in tollywood, it used to reflect at the box office and the audience moved on . The makers used to analyse the mistake themselves and make better movies. This whole high drama 🙄
My telugu friend , the telugu movie culture of MASS at everything but mind at nothing is not going to work PAN india. Bollywood also make shitty movies and people roast , make fun of them. I know you won't like criticism of Telugu or Tamil superstars , but for PAN india , they are actors and will be judged according to their performance, not presence. Mind you , this is not telugu hate , or south movie hate , this is reality. Rana Duggubatti is praised , because he has shown his acting prowess at every movie. Baahubali, Baby , Ghazi attack . I respect him , because he is an actor. For me he is more valuable than Prabhaas. If you want good movies , criticism and fact check is needed. If you want to stay a regional entertainers , you can continue. If telugu movie can produce baahubali and RRR, they have potential. Just harness that power to go beyond. One point no one has touched upon is that Jatayu (who was like a father figure to Ram Sita and Laxman in panchwati, but here is called by his name by Janki), was a vulture not an eagle..
He is depicted as both depending on the artist. The giant statue in Jatayu park in Kerala depicts him as an eagle, whereas I think according to the original poem, he was a vulture.

Om Raut not only made a mockery out of this Epic, rather he disappointed fans like me who were in awe of his last flick, Tanhaji. He was so inspired from Omkara Movie that OM saw Omkara and He saw Tanhaji in Ajay Devgan. Then he focused on Saif's character which he liked more than Ajay's character and decided to cast him as Antagonist in Tanhaji. What stayed with Om was a cheer, "Langda Tyagi, Baahubali!!! Langda Tyagi, Baahubali!!!". Guess 17 years later, Langda Tyagi was casted as Raavan and Baahubali of course was casted as Lord Rama. What's Om Raut gonna make Next? Beedi Jalaile??? Om Raut saw 300 movie and got inspired from Xerxes' army and decided to cast them as Lord Rama's introductory shot. Om Raut saw Hercules and Hydra fight and recreated that scene into "Raavan's Private Spa err Maalish Sessions". Om Raut saw XMen Apocalypse(2016) and blessed Meghnad (Tarzan Vatsal Seth) with powers of QuickSilver. Om Raut saw Extraction, Chris Hemsworth's under water scene and used it blatantly. God Damn it, make something original or don't make any movie. Tanhaji might have gave Om I guess more than 3cr after tax, which is sufficient for him,if he puts that in Mirae Asset Mutual Fund !!!

they totally changed everything... 1. they showed vaali as a cheat and totally evil king.. but his actual power is he gets 50% of his enemy's strength thats why bhagwan ram had to shot him from side. and vaali and sugreev fought 2 times .. before dying vaali asks him .. if u asked my help i would've bring ravan to ur feet in seconds ( vaali defeated ravana soo easily ).. but rama tells.. u lost ur morals... u abducted ur brother's wife ... etc etc ( its a long explanation ) 2. indrajeet is a great archer but also master in illusion skills ( LOKI jeisa )... but yaha to chapri bana dia .. 3. here they showed ram and lakshman killed all 3 ( kumbh karan , indrajeet and ravan ) on same day .. but eise nhi tha.. and kumbhkaran ko eise brute giant jeise dikhaya .. before battle also he tells his brother to return sita to ram .. but for his brother he fought with rama.. 4. maa sita wears jwellery given by sage atri's wife anasuya ... Lakshmana said " I cannot identify her bracelets and earrings. I can only recognise her anklets because I salute her feet everyday". .. and soo many things. every scene in this movie is a mistake. this movie is a mistake.... ramayan is a story of ethics , values, valor, etc etc .. which this movie killed ..

Mughals were bad in the film too, they were the ones who sent udaybhan to Kondana, So in a movie about Tanaji you are bound to get Rathore as main Villian. We can't change history for agenda

Even as a kid when that drama premiered on Cartoon Network i could relate to it. From it's purity to beautiful popping animation to soulful and musical sequences to the menacingly dark final battle it had everything. And most imp it was historically accurate. This is an abomination and if this financially succeeds then Indian audience deserves this kind of crap.

ADIPURUSH 🚩 is more like a SPOOF than a Movie...😂 "The legend of Prince Ram" 🧡 from 1992 was the perfect mixture of cultures, a century old story from India🇮🇳 with class leading direction of animated story telling from Japan 🇯🇵 The fact that movie still holds up as one of the best depictions of this epic 30 years after it's release and the fact that this Movie fails humongously in doing the same is actually mind blowing. My respect for the 1992 animated version just went up 10 fold after watching This comedy

I am a Pakistani Muslim, yet Ramayan and Mahabharath hold a special place as our family uses to binge watch on Ramanand sagar's creation, I truly feel sad to see commercialization of such important epics.
@kannadavideosvlog I am actually surprised that you divide a sacred epic in episodes. For me, it's the moments and metaphors where I seeked knowledge and got it. First connection, the devotion of Shabari, who longed for Shri Ram, her innocence that she didn't care about half eaten bairs (worldly norms) instead she was just making sure that she is serving the best to her lord (Agape love) this means when one reaches Agape, he/she doesn't care about the worldly customs and norms.
@kannadavideosvlog second moment for me was when Jatayu fought to save Sita maa, though he knew that he wouldn't survive, but still he played his role, that is what devotion is, he considered himself as a servant not a saviour. The karam becomes nirbhav when someone does a karam as his or her duty rather than considering it as a favor.

The fact is that the cartoons we watch in our childhood of krishna bhagwan, Hamunaji and even Chota bheem has a very delicate script with proper sudh Hundi words . In those cartoons even they didn't mess with dialogues to simplify for kids . And as kids we love that respectfull way of speaking . Have to say they don't have a single reason now , they could say , they made this film with due respect to our History.

Firstly, Ramayana is not mythology but our precious history. Bollywood keeps on insulting our history, our culture and proudly follows western culture. It's pathetic to see the way Maa Sita is dressed in the movie and there are so many other flaws related to dialogue and wrong story telling. This is what they are trying to those people who have never seen Ramayan in their lives. I am glad I was born during 80's and I grew up watching Ramayan by Ramanand Sagar ji and I still watch it. Ramanand Sagar ji would have been shocked to see this movie if he was alive. People need to wake up and boycott Bollywood and let them pay for their karma!!
I understand respecting culture, but don't start turning stories and myths into facts and history. Ramayana and Mahabharata are mythologies. A very important part of our culture but that's it.

I watched the movie… I genuinely felt sad.. there were small kids in the theatre who might be learning and watching ramayana for the first time… this is what they will be understanding Ramayan was… the depiction, the dialogues and the vfx mistakes were so bad and these kids will be think that yess okay this is what ramayan is… I genuinely request to parents to not let their kids watch this version of Ramayan bcoz they will be thinking this is what it is for the rest of their lives.. Show them Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, The anime - Legend of Prince Rama, Hanuman animated movies and let them learn about our culture through those movies! I'm not a Hindu but I've always appreciated & loved Arun Govil starring depiction of Ramayan very much but Adipurush was a lifeless CGI overkill just a tad better than cheap African youtube movie effects made using old windows XP.
In yugosako's ramayan as well it was shown Indrajit tries to trick shriRam's army into thinking he has killed sita by using some magic but vibhishan tells them about indrajit's magical abilities
Its also a part of Ramayan but I don't remember if it was a translation or transiteration that I read. I have too many versions of Ramayana at home 😅 Edit : checked its valmiki translated. Not going to search for shloka in the original sanskrit text. That woukd be a task.
I remember this being mentioned in the Valmiki original, but Ramanand Sagar’s adaptation doesn’t have this scene (well, tbf, Ramanand Sagar nerfed the character of Sita quite a bit overall). I don’t know for sure though…
