We spent 5 days in late June exploring an area in the Adirondacks we hadn't been to yet. The fishing was terrible, mostly due to the heat, but that didn't stop us from having a great time out in the beautiful remote wilderness setting.
I've found all of my cold handle skillets at antique stores fairly cheap. There's plenty on the internet on ebay, etsy, etc. but they're usually pretty pricey. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment, really appreciate the support and glad you enjoyed!
Awesome ! I totally agree about the cold handle pans, hard to beat. Really nice tent for you guys ! Sammy ,the coolest pup on RU-vid ! Thanks a lot for sharing man !
A friend of mine and myself just did a two-nighter to this same lake complex about a month prior to this. Paddler's paradise as they say, right? Edit: my bad, about a month prior to you posting this video haha. I didn't see at first you went in June. We did the week after Labor Day
Beautiful spot. Was that a Scotty rod holder? I have 3 boats and cannot get those Scottie’s to work well on any of them. Your cold handles look to be in good shape. Thanks for the video!
It was an eagle claw rod holder, it was cheap but I kinda expected it to be a little better than it ended up being. I got new holders right after this trip, ram mounts. They are great, pretty light and stay where you put them. I used them for the first time on a trip a few weeks ago, I loved them. The cold handle skillets are great, I found these pretty cheap at the local antique shop. Just needed to be stripped and re-seasoned. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment, very much appreciated!
Sammy really is a great dog, he loves it out there. It was really hot when we went here, that's why we didn't catch anything. We went back there for the last week of trout season and did pretty decent. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment, very much appreciated!
I bet it wasn't 90 degrees out when you went there.... We were supposed to be there a month earlier but my car broke down. Should have just gone bass fishing instead, oh well.
I love that place. My favorite lean to. Which campsite did you stay at the 4th night? If you ever need depth info hit me up I run the sonar over all these lakes and ponds. Great trip.
It sure is a beautiful place, great lean-to. We stayed at campsite 3 on the 4th night, really nice site on the north shore of the lake. I'm going to get a smaller fish finder for trips like this, the one I have is too big to lug around. Not knowing depths really makes fishing tough, and this trip was the first really hot week of the summer which didn't help either. Hopefully we can meet up for a trip next year with if that's something you guys would be interested in. Thanks for watching and stopping by to comment, very much appreciated!
