I spoke to rod. I have a 15 pound bench rest rifle. On your video you discuss removing the large screw and using the two set screws for balancing. Rod said that he would turn out both set screws one to two turns and then use the large screw for balancing. Any thoughts?? Thank you.
You honestly can't go wrong with either one and I mean that. Neither one of mine was free and I don't regret either. I'm currently shooting the Rodzilla Raptor and love it and I spend Jan-Feb on my NeoX. Both will 100% accomplish your goals.
I really like & appreciate your video reviews of your T-Rex front shooting rest! For someone new just getting into F-Class would you recommend this rest? In mind or my way of thinking I’d like to invest once in the right piece of equipment that will last me allow me to shoot & compete & or grow in the sport. The rifle I’ve ordered to start out in F-Class is no where near as heavy as the rifles it seems most are using but it will get me started till I’m ready to have one custom made
It's a great rest and I don't think you could go wrong with it but I would recommend you try out some rests at the range if you can so get a feel for them. It would help give you some perspective on how they work and also that way when you get a really good one like the T-Rex you'll really appreciate it.
@@FClassJohn thanks! I almost called them to inquire about placing a order today but thought I’d research a few more before doing so? I really liked the features the adjustment the range of adjustment you talked about in your video! I have looked at their website & the T-Rex is a quality built front rest! As I’m sure most are at this level? Is it the range of adjustment & the sensitivity that sets one brand or model apart from another? It sure seemed to me that the T-Rex has it all? At least compared to the ones I have seen or looked at so far?
@@arronhamilton8091 it’s definitely the highest quality, most feature laden rest you can buy. If you’re looking to shoot F Class it’s a pretty amazing rest to do it with.
@@FClassJohn Thank you, I had just found it. I sent him a couple of questions, about the ability to use this rest, with my Heavy Gun? It has a 5.250" Front Slide, and was hoping the T-Rex could accommodate it, as well as it's 40+ lbs of weight
It is this kind of Bull ____ that is killing the shooting sports. $2000 + dollar rests, $600 priming tools, $3000 neck turning machines, and all the other overly expensive crap that ones needs to be competitive now. OH Wait now lets not talk about the multiple $10k guns and scopes one like will have to have.
How would I adjust the joystick so it doesn’t move when I take my hand off it. I like to shoot so that I set my point of aim, remove my hand from the joystick and fire the rifle. I want the joystick to remain absolutely at my point of aim. Thanks for all your help.
@@howardschwartz1462 You have to adjust the tensions screws under the bridge until your gun is balanced. It take a little bit of back and forth but once you have it set you should be good.
F-Class is named after George Farkuhasen, a Canadian. He suggested that shooting from bipods or rests would be a good way to keep older shooters engaged in the high-power discipline. It grew from there into what it is now.
