Thank you! On this restoration I worked about five or six days I think and maybe about 14 hours? I don’t really keep track of that. Btw the editing and all the behind the scenes stuff is not included in those six days and 14 hours. But this was actually a pretty “fast” project..

Thank you very much! Well I don't really keep track on how many hours I work on every project and as you said it is very different between the projects. I think I can say that every project takes a minimum working time of about 15 hours, but that would be the absolute minimum and probably that is even too less. But the arbor press for example took a LOT more time. It also depends on what exactly I do for a project. For this adjustable wrench only the sanding of the surface took about six hours I think. So I can't really tell you an average time.. But you have to keep in mind that is only the actual working time in the shop. A lot happens behind the scenes like getting and searching for material, doing research, thinking about how to do something, planing and of course editing the video. I don't really talk about that stuff on RU-vid, but I do in my Patreon vlogs so most people don't really know about that. I hope I could answer your question..

Thank you! I am confident that it won’t rust if you just put a little oil spray on it. That did work for everything for me, for example the ratchet I restored didn’t rust yet 🙂

@@DrHutOfHandcraft sure, not for a while. But a coat of oil will not stay forever. It doesn’t offer the same protection as blueing. But nice work!

@@mixdiver12 Of course, but you can oil it every now and then to prevent rust. I will use this wrench often, so I will always oil it :)

@@mixdiver12 Yes I wanted it to have a “natural” and satin metal look. I love cold bluing, but cold bluing a a finish for the whole part is just not my taste. Thank you for your comment!
