I love the old system with the ball,so easy to work on,mine is a new fangled system which is much more complicated, another good tutorial my friend keep them coming
The old types of ball valves has one washer fits all. The newer valves have slightly different washers etc so generally I replace rather than repair these. New torbeck type valves are also prone to damage easily i.e by debris etc that gets into the pipework. Again, thanks for watching and the comment!
Hello this video is very helpful - but though I have a similar system I cant seem to stop the drip outside to the overflow - the bit that you tightened so that the water level can be adjusted - mine doesn't seem to have much scope for tightening or loosening. Any helpful tip ?
The adjustment will work only if the diaphragm washer in the fill valve is in good condition. If this has worn, adjustment will not not fix the overflow problem. have a look at another one of my videos where I replace the diaphragm washer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-utTfxVb2PqE.html Hopefully that will help!
