I just did this with my kydex holster for my canik TP9-SFX. It was designed to hold it with mounted light single cr-123 battery small. I wanted it to fit the OLIGHT PL-Pro Valkyrie 1500 2 cr-123 batteries. Would not fit at all. So filled up pot water brought to boil put half of it in for 10 seconds and then using two thick towels on bottom 1 cold wet towel on top pulled it out inserted pistol with light in and pressed down on it for 5 sec flipped it over and pressed with cold wet towel from the top and BOOM. Fits and holds like it was made for it. Retention is Very Solid. Very happy! Thx bro.
Love you guys, not tryna be critical, but I'm confused: To TIGHTEN the sheath's grip on the blade, heat it (boiling water/heat gun) and squeeze it around the blade. To LOOSEN the grip on the blade, do the same thing. That's what I'm hearing. Wha...? At this rate, the zombies are gonna win. ; )
Got my Xiphos today, The Kydex sheath is so loose it falls off, when sent to me they put a leather strip with a button to keep it on there, it still rattles around and doesn't fit correctly, also there is no lip at the top so I am unable to adjust the fit of the sheath. Kind of disappointing considering I paid over $500 for it directly from Zombie Tools.
