A character death that I felt shouldn't have been reversed most of all was Makorov. His end was emotional and a good ending, so there could be a new Fairy Tail master. Then, it was reversed. I'm reading the 100-year quest and Edens Zero

Yes also the chain scene the dude said one of you need to die to break it so Juvia killed herself, the chain broke but then next scene Wendy said that she didn't die as she healed her in time and I was like wait so how did the chain break then 😮, Wendy should have said Oh Juvia San you were lucky that you weren't dead for long so I was about to resuscitate you, that would have worked, honestly the Juvia fake out annoys me more than the Makrov one

Fairy tail is my all time favourite anime!!! It just checks all the boxes that a good and entertaining show needs to have for me: -A likeable cast -A story that keeps you invested -great comedy -cool fights -wholesome moments -emotional moments -AMAZING music I mean it has something for everyone. Not every anime needs to be dark and serious the whole time like attack on titan or have outstanding animation like demon slayer. Fairy tail has a few flaws but so does one piece,naruto, bleach etc. but haters aren't ready to admit that all of them are on the same level and it simply comes to different tastes which one you prefer !!

Natsu already being strong was never a problem for me because i always considered lucy the protagonist/ MC and she indeed gets stronger as u go. like shes the one telling the story

To be fair Hiro figured out the mess he did in the original series but even then there was still some moments where Natsu said to Erigor in Wendy´s arc that he´s not the same as he were the first time back then Natsu also gets stronger off screen because Hiro said he is not a fan of training arcs anime staff did a great job adding some parts of Natsu training for Tenrou Island while in the manga it was completely off screened But in sequel Hiro this time is more careful he added a new goal for Natsu to get stronger to fight the *final villian* Both Natsu and Lucy is the Main Characters & the statements from Hiro about Natsu in the entire original manga but the Anime staff focused too much on Lucy than the first MC Natsu and Shiki are both strong from the start Hiro´s MCs are always strong

People also dont get that the power of friendship in Fairy tail ACTUALLY is a canonical power - its in the lore that magic gets amplified by emotions and love ( both platonic and romantic) is the strongest. At least with fairy tail it makes sense!

It’s not the “power of friendship” tht people dislike. It’s the illogical inconsistency. Alright fine Natsu beats a chac thts said to be twice as strong as him one episode, but don’t flash forward a couple episodes n have him struggle against someone who is 5x weaker than the person natsu jus beat. If their gonna raise the power level of chac to move the story, keep him relative to tht power after. Power scaling in all anime should be a pyramid, fairy tale is more a circle. For example let’s say tht the anime states Grey is the stronger the natsu and erza by 2x. N natsu beats grey in a 1v1 fight bc natsu emotions were high during tht fight. But then he fights Erza n loses bc erza’s emotions were high tht fight. Then grey fights Erza n wins bc the anime states he’s alrdy stronger. Why is grey who is supposed to be the strongest of the 3 suddenly drawn to be on par BASED on FIGHTING RECORD even tho the anime says he’s the strongest? Its stupid. At the very least you have to acknowledge tht the power scaling in fairy tail is useless. Useless as it’s not important wats so ever. Fairy tale waste screen time hyping up chac jus for them to lose a fight their supposed to win. It’s like n underdog winning EVERY fight they come across, it’s makes those scenes of hyping up strong chac useless

@@whysoserious211power scaling and power of characters is the most basic and important thing in anime. It shows how much protagonist has to struggle against antagonist to win. Like how achnologia was stated as a calamity which will end humanity. Even an immortal was scared to him. He was after unlimited source of power. And still he was unsure if he would be able to win or not. This difference in power showed us how much MCs would struggle against achnologia. To be honest, they really did suffer at the start. But u also know what happened at the end of the fight, natsu one shotted achnologia like it was nothing. The same achnologia who toyed with whole fairy tail guild in tenrou island. And about emotions proportional to power, I don't understand this thing. Remember during GMG, Erza fought kagura. Kagura was beating as# of Erza at start, then Erza mentioned "Jellal" which raised anger of kagura even more. Which means kagura should have become even more powerful as she was already beating Erza . But even though kagura's emotions rise (her power should also have been increased) , Erza one shotted her . So it means emotions of enemies doesn't matter. Only MCs and heroes get boost from emotions.

@@AnosVoIdigoad99 Yeah I guess that's kinda true, natsu plot armour is crazy..Although Natsu has alot of these plot specials, I still find it really amusing and entertaining to watch FT, quite strangely more than any other anime with similar plot armour moments, it's like even though it is ridiculous, it sure is still enjoyable. And ngl, you reincarnation fans are pretty neutral unlike dbz, op and mha fans so debating is alot worth it since there is little to no bias.

@@whysoserious211 U know I don't hate Fairy tail. I actually like it. But facts r facts. I also know why everyone hates this anime coz overuse of power of friendship and plot armours of characters. To be honest, it is my honest view that consider of powers of Sprigan 12 during Alvarez arc, none of the fairy tail members should have survived. But everything had plot armours which saved them. Erza defeated dragon due to plot. (No Matter how I look at it, Erza and Wendy shouldn't even have been able to do anything to irene. She had more experience and magic than Wendy but Wendy countered all of her enchantments but how? Where is the factor that experience and magic power matter in a fight?) makarov died and came back to life 😳 None of the fairy tail members die , no matter what happens. Even if they die, they come back to life . I'm pointing these out so they author could fix these mistakes so that this anime couldn't become even more amazing and acceptable.

What I love about Fairy Tail is that it made me feel that I have a family that I can always go back to whenever I feel alone. A family that will always be there to make me laugh and to protect me from anyone. That genuine bond that I have with the characters will always be special to me and that's what makes this anime so great 👆.

Fairy Tail is an amazing show!!! All that happens to the characters hits harder because there’s the connection you feel to them as if you’re also part of Fairy Tail. The music and characters are so awesome, its just hate like you said with those not in favor of it haven’t even seen it. I’m so glad to have watched along your journey and see you truly enjoyed this show!

There is a reason why Fairy Tail guild members never die. It's in the story, and has to do with the guild marks. Other characters that are not a member of the guild may in fact end up dead if the story needs them to. This show was so well made. It does not have crazy animation, but the way things are portrayed works. The music can either get you so hype, you feel like the moon is within your reach, or break you and make you cry like a baby. And the best thing is that the guild grows and changes along with the members. I remember feeling shocked after the Tenrojima arc, not knowing what will happen next. And then watching the guild fall, rebuild and take the magic games by storm was some of the most fulfilling arcs ever, only to feel down again once the guild is disbanded. The villains are well thought as well. In the beginning we hear of Zeref and his demons, only to eventually meet him and find out he is not quite what we thought. If you have enjoyed Fairy tail, and going on quests and journeys with them, you will love the new series by the same author called Edens Zero. I know 414Anime will, cuz it has another version of Lucy, and he did mention liking her design. Hopefully, you will post an update video on that as well, with the 2nd season currently airing.

The last arc isn't so bad, problem is that it's rushed cause Mashima had to finnish edens zero. That edens zero for which wverybody swears that is soooo much better than ft yadi yada, but ultimately failed cause hardly anyone likes and watches sci fi genre 😂

Hiro Mashima is great at manipulating our emotions and immersing us in the atmosphere of being in a guild hall with friends. But he’s so good that when he teases character deaths it’s like getting gaslit repeatedly. Like “bro we love you but stop it!” Also despite the fan service the ladies in Fairy Tail are some of the best written heroines in shounen in terms of volume. You’d be lucky to get one or two women to be well written in a typical shounen but Fairy Tail has Erza, Lucy, Juvia, Wendy, etc. And they’re heroines, they don’t wait for the boys to save them in every fight. Sure on some occasions they’re saved like Erza confronting Jellal where Natsu comes in to fight him. But that’s like a brother fighting his sis’ toxic boyfriend who just roofied her. It’s compelling. The juvenile hatred from the anime community was disappointing. Surface level critiques IMO. Yes it has flaws but nothing that makes it the most egregious offender of shounen tropes.

It started off good, the main thing that made me drop it was the handling of the Spriggan 12/Alvarez Empire arc, especially how acnologia was handled at the end of the anime, also Makarov never actually dying. Did pick it up again to read 100 year quest though

I love Fairy Tail, finished it all the way through and will probably to a rewatch once we get a 100 Year Quest release date, but I 100% agree with you on the Acnologia front. Obviously him losing needed to happen for plot purposes but there should absolutely have been some deaths and it should have been way harder to beat him. Thankfully, 100 Year Quest is absolutely fire and so far, at least in my opinion, there hasn't been any battles that left you sitting there asking "should it have been that easy"?

I blame fandom for most part though and the fact that Mashima has been active on Social Media. We know he originally wanted to have separate Acnologia arc. And quality has been dropping ever since toxicity in the fandom has reached obnoxious levels, mostly due to Narutards going around being mad after Naruto finale, but also shippers being way too invested into the plot, throwing death threats the moment he even alluded to killing Gajeel and Juvia.

@@kuratzk4492 He deserved much longer storyline and build up. And at least one extra episode of just fighting. You also have to remember that in manga half of the stuff shown in the anime was not present - especially the backstory. It just could have been better, especially if they went for 100YQ before Acnologia plot being solved. Then Acnologia as final boss would make much more sense, especially if we had Wendy and Selene, Natsu and Ignia and rest of slayers and Diabolos being the two main forces to fight him instead. With everyone else helping Lucy cast the Sphere. And she could have had the key back at that moment as well. It would be much nicer ending.

@@mjm3091 i dont know for me it was perfect handled and its not so bad like in one pice where like kaido is getting build up for like 300 chapters and being the strongers alive and being a yonko and then hes transforming into a dragon but cant even hit 1 person or kill 1 person.and the best part is after 300 chapters build up hes loosing to i want to be pirate king armor and disney music.i think fairy tail handles his fights way better then any ohter shounen

Dude Fairy Tail is actually one of the biggest inspirations for my own manga. The character dynamic is pretty similar to Fairy Tail. Hell, the English dub of Fairy Tail is the biggest reason why I'm an aspiring voice actor. If I ever meet Cherami Leigh (English VA of Lucy) and Todd Haberkorn (English VA of Natsu) I would tell them that their performances inspired me to become a voice actor almost 10 years ago when I was 12. That's reason why Fairy Tail will remain my favorite anime of all time.

This show doesn't get enough love. Sure it has its problems but I love this anime so much. The characters are incredible, the emotions I feel when watching an episode is incomparable, and hell.. the soundtrack is the best soundtrack I've ever heard in any form of entertainment. My main gripe is when characters don't actually die but the show heavily implies that they're dead or were just killed off. It sucks feeling all these emotions, only for the character to come back almost immediately. Aside from that, this show is the much needed escape that a lot of people need including myself.

i started watched Fairy Tail in 2014 because someone online recommended it to me (it was my first anime), it is my favorite anime, i cried when i thought it was ending with Zero, and cried harder when it actually did. ive been reading 100 year quest, Hiro Mashima is an amazing author (despite all the fan service (some is alright, but he goes overboard sometimes)) edit: I also cried when i thought Wendy (fave character) was gonna die and did get mixed emotions when she was saved....

Fairy Tail is what continues to inspire me to write my books. Which is why out of all the animes expected this year, I can't wait until Eden's Zero S2.

Fairy Tail is great.definitely one of my most favorite.I didn't cared about it not having seriousness like someone from mcs side dying or having power of friendship and fan service.thus I understood the story,lore , adventure.its had something that I didn't got from any series.the emotions,bonds that everyone shared in the guild felt too realistic and it's helped me to overcome in some of my irl issues.I will never forget the feeling,the journey I had in fairy tail world

As a person who’s watched all of ft and about 450 episodes of one piece. They have no correlation at all. Fairy tail is my favourite anime ever and I’ve watched it a stupid amount of times , obviously it’s not perfect nothing is… but the one piece comparison baffles me

No joke, though that theme song is bad ass And Also. Fairy Tale is a very emotional show. I almost cried like multiple times It the show makes you feel like you're going on a wild goose Chase on life. The show makes you feel like you're part of the Guild and your family. Aside from the fan service the anime is actually really good. The story and plot is really good with hints of all genres like comedy, horror, romance (NALU CANON!!), serious moments, suspense and everything else. I've watched so many anime that I've lost count of and especially in long term shonen anime I would easily say FT along HXH, Bleach are the only ones which I can rewatch any time. The hate on FT tho, is ridiculously unneccessary.

I've never had a problem with them not killing off characters even after the "goodbyes". They did go way to hard with the goodbyes when Wendy and Carla destroyed the first Face. However, I don't think I would have been able to move on if Wendy and Carla died lol

I love Fairy Tail and even I have criticisms of the story, they’re mostly criticisms that are of Shonen anime in general but the one that annoys me the most is that Mashima doesn’t write the characters as smart as they actually are. If Erza (Best and my favorite character I will die on that hill) had the same tactical skills that she previously shown in her 100 monster fight, both the fights between Kyoka and Irene would have looked different. Although people will not stop hating her and calling her a Plot armored Mary Sue regardless. I swear man she deserves better. So did Lucy.

Fairy Tail is a great show simply because it's just so enjoyable to watch. Super funny,a bit sexy,and epic as hell. Obviously if you are judging it after watching something with oceanic levels of depth it's not going to match up it's not that kind of anime it's not Berserk or Evangelion levels of psychology and philosophy but if you want a show that will put you in a really good mood and overall just makes life enjoyable and to have a great time the Fairy Tail guild is the finest place to go!!!

I just need to say one thing about this fake-death issue with Fairy Tail The point of these as you call it "send-off" moments is not to break the viewers hearts by killing off the characters, it is basically to show the viewers what these characters are feeling at the time and what they are thinking, so he makes you feel what they are feeling but fairy tail would be ruined if they died, Imagine how CRUEL it is for a 13 year old kid like Wendy to die at the moment, that was fucking brutal, the fact she already experienced that is brutal enough. I never felt they were handled so badly not at all, I always waited for how he was gonna reverse it or save it and tbh it always really made sense. And I am sorry but there are pretty destructive deaths and moments in the show, Simon, Ultear sacrifice without ever knowing, Igneel was bloody brutal, August gave depression for 3 days, Mavis and Zeref was beautiful and painful af, komugi and meruem level if you know what I mean. The guy really loves his cha and we all do so much so it is not about these imo That is all, I just love this show too damn much haha it really helped me in my life like no other and just beleive it deserves way more love and appreciation and honeslty to be watcheds more and be more popular than this I love One piece so much but I as well prefer fairy tail to one piece

fan service, i feel like it serves the story a little it gives a great comedy aspect to the show. also when Brandisch forced Lucy into a bath with her, i thought yess i found that just a great moment not because of the fan service but because it showed the power of Brandisch she could demand what she wants because she that strong it's what a real villian would do i suppose. not explain their power and give the mc time to recover that wouldn't make sense

"the power of friendship doesn't make any sense" I hate this statement with a passing becouse it is states multiple times that emotions have impact on your magic, it is also shown with Natsu's flames of emotion or Juvia's water that started to boil. AND it is also stated twice by 3 people actualy that 'LOVE' is the origin of magic, Lucy told us that her mom Layla sayed that and she fully agrees AND Mavis stated that too. Something that shows us the darker side of it is the Curse Mavis and Zeref suffer under. and friendship IS infact an act of love and these friendships are also more like FAMILY. So even stronger form of love or literaly direct love. So yea, it makes sense. The only thing wrong in this is the capability of observation and understanding the show. It's as simple as that.

Thanks for making this video, I love Fairy Tail, it's one of the few anime that makes me connect to the characters, as if I am member of the guild. Erza Scarlet is my personal favorite character, for me she's the coolest female characters not just in anime but also in fiction, alongside Saber of Fate series and Motoko Kusanagi of Ghost in the Shell SAC.

1:02 I think the reason people bring OP up is the same reasons I brought up Naruto in relation to MHA and Black Clover. It’s because they can’t unsee the OP influence when looking at FT. It can be difficult to get past seeing influences. When you watch a lot of anime, it’s inevitable to happen and when it does it just depends on whether you’re flattered or annoyed. I agree, it shouldn’t change your opinion. You’re right to say people aren’t giving the show a chance. I love FT, too. It’s a good show. End of video: I haven’t seen more than 50 episodes of One Piece, but between OP and FT, I’d also choose FT. I was more into FT than the 50 episodes I’ve seen of OP. If anyone like FT, they should read Hiro Mashima’s other stories like Rave Master. That one is also very entertaining.

Yeah I agree with you that Fairy Tail gets way too much hate. Though I’ll say I wasn’t a fan of how it end, though 100yr quest should fix that. As for deaths, in any series, not just FT, I don’t mind if no one dies. As long as it makes sense why a character survived, I don’t have an issue with it. Though FT did fail at that sometimes.

Only charcter death i wish happened was gramps in the final season cause they did such a good job with the scene and it would have been cool/interesting that mashima made him say from the 1st arc that his children were gonna be the death of him. And when he died laxus should have taken over as guild master, kind of like a redemption from the battle of fairy tail where he tried to blackmail it out of gramps to show his character development

The only fake death that really annoys me is Makarov. With the other ones ones in the final arc, they were at least shown relatively quickly after to be alive. Makarov took an entire section of the main story to be shown as alive. I do agree that the build up to losing the characters is something Fairy Tail does well, and while I’m glad none of the characters that I grew to love died, it still feels cheap to pull a 180 on someone’s feelings like that. The best example I can think of is the Wendy fake out. At least it was shown relatively quickly that she was fine, but I feel like my emotions had to do a 180 because they prepared me to lose her. I feel similarly with Gajeel, but since he’s my favorite character I felt more relieved that he was still alive. Doesn’t take away from the point that the fake-out deaths are probably the worst handled thing about FT. Still love the series though. Top 5 if not top 2.

OP is a series that simply executes deeper themes and better. The characters are less mono characteristic. Laxus is the best written character in FT and even OP side characters are probably better written. The poster of this original video is click baiting. OP’s stories definitely have better stakes and hard hitting emotional moments that fans will talk about for a long time.

Fairy tail is really an amazing anime, I've been watching it from the beginning, it's has very good plot and one of the best action scenes with good music plus u also get emotionally attached to all the characters which makes the experience more awesome it's one of the few Animes that will get u attached to it's characters soo badly that after u finish watching the series it will definitely leave a void in ur heart. For me this anime is among my top 10 and it's sad that it's getting over shadowed by other hyped animes and getting hated for no actual reason. But I'm happy that I found a good gem of a Anime

I am willing to give the show a fair shake since apart from Demon Slayer season 3, Bleach Thousand year blood war arc season 2 and the Rurouni Kenshin remake, nothing else has made me I have to watch it. And my brief experience with the show was through watching three episodes in college with a club, fanart of the girls of course and fanfiction crossovers. Oh and the RPG that made me REALLY disappointed that it wasn't a Warriors game, would have been perfect! But yes, I will attempt to watch the show and give it a change because at least it is over unlike One Piece which is still going. Nice video talking about this 414 and......yeah Erza is my girl but Lucy though 😍!

I have watched both fairy tail. And watched one piece after it. Then rewatched fairy tail . Fairy tail is very good as a starter anime..and thats all that it is. Its not correct to compare that with one piece which is in a masterclass of its own. Both anime have mistakes ,flaws and greatness and hype.. but watching fairy tail is like being interested in anime and trying it out. Watching one piece is commitment and understanding quality as a true anime enthusiast. With OP being truly OP..fairy tail is sure to remain a nostalgic gem for those who watched this series as a part of the starter pack into anime

My favorite Anime of all time. The only anime that makes me emotionally attached to the characters, makes me feel like the part of the family. Made me cry the most times, and the characters are very likeable and loveable. Unlike other anime which main character chasing their big dream, Fairy Tail is more like living in the moment and that is very fun to watch. And the community is kinda chill, even if their fav anime is mocked, not even trying to argue.

So i absolutely love fairy tail in every sense of the word. It is my number one favorite Anime of all time and nothing will change it. I've seen some people say their gripes on the show but i dont see them as bad. Makarov living past using fairy law on the army was actually alright with me, since its obvious he isnt 100% ok after it, since now he needs a wheelchair most of the time. "The Power of Friendship" Argument is just plain idiocy, since tons of anime do it a lot more. Fairy Tail has been a show about how emotions for not just yourself but for these you hold close and push you past what you can currently do. We see that in real life too, people running into house fires for their dog, or jumping in front of a car for their child. It makes ACTUAL sense that it would empower magic like that.

Personally, I think people hate on it just because others do. I don't think many who hate on it actually have seen Fairytail. Not to mention the whole magic of friendship thing makes more sense than the 1v1 and powering up for no reason. Feelings are powerful, and it makes more sense. @@malaydebnath5755umm first your comparing 2 diferent types of magic while natsu has more of a power relying magic,ersa has multiple armors that gives her diferent buffs so i wouldnt say those are power ups for her plus natsu has multiple power ups like the fire manipulation letting him creat multiple forms with hes fire,lighting mode,dragon for fase 1 and fase 2 with the golden flames,king mode plus the demon mode also wym by doesnt feel like an mc he literally clears every main antagonist,leading and inspiring others and for development go watch hes fight with erigor then the fight with zeref (yk hes brother one of the main antagonists who made him into the strongest demon whos gonna destroy everything one day and defeated him like an mc) you'll notice how much mature he has become
