Ex-Stanford admission officers teaches you how to ace your college applications in the best college admission course online. Admitium.com Syllabus below.
Masterclass 1: Three Crucial Concepts. We start with the three crucial concepts you need to learn: intellectual vitality, points of excellence, and texture. If you master those three competencies, you’re on your way towards becoming a compelling applicant. (Time: 35 min.)
Masterclass 2: Admissions Process. We walk through the admission cycle from the point of view of an admission office so you can understand crucial insights that will give you an advantage: Should you contact your admission officer? How long does an admission officer spend on your application? Does it matter if you submit your application at the deadline? What happens at committee? Can you do anything to help your admission officer advocate for you? (Time: 31 min.)
Masterclass 3: Activities I. The Common App. Activities Page may be the second most important document in the admission process. This class is a deep-dive on the specific activities you should consider doing that demonstrate intellectual vitality, support your points of excellence, and add texture. You might be surprised to hear most of them are not traditional activities offered by your school. And even if you’re a December-Senior, you can still add new and impressive activities to your application in less than a week. (Time: 48 min.)
Masterclass 4: Common Application. There are many details in the Common App. that matter for an admission reader, but you’re probably not aware of them. Does it matter what you select for Future Plans? How do your parents’ professions or education factor into your application? How should you write about your awards? Does an online course count as an activity? Where should you write about that? When do you use the Additional Information box? What about those 250-word essays on taking a gap year or changing schools? (Time: 44 min.)
Masterclass 5: Activities II. Now we return to the Common App. Activities Page and show you how to write about your activities. This might be the single best way to stand out from other applicants. Because most students don’t take the time to write carefully about their activities. It’s the perfect place to showcase your intellectual vitality and texture by crafting smart, fun, interesting descriptions. What if you don’t have ten? What if you have more than ten? How should you order them? What if you haven’t done an activity yet or you just started it? How do you make that terribly hard calculation about time spent on an activity? How much does that matter? (Time: 40 min.)
Masterclass 6: Writing I. In the first class, we’re going to teach you how to come up with winning essay topics. What’s the biggest mistake students make in their essays? Why are some topics better than others? Is there anything you must address in your writing? Many schools ask lots of questions: what are they looking for in these different prompts? (Time: 37 min.)
Masterclass 7: Writing II. Lots of people will tell you unhelpful things like: “Just be yourself in your essay." But we’re going to show you how to say something smart and interesting, and that’s the best way to “be yourself” in a college essay. Specifically, I’m going to teach you ten techniques to transform any personal topic into compelling writing that’s glowing with intellectual energy and texture. (Time: 1 hr 25 min.)
Masterclass 8: Writing III. Now we focus on ten tactics you should deploy in all your writing: How to open your first sentence; how to close without engaging in overstatement. Then we dig into your supplemental essays: We cover winning examples of the Diversity Essay; the Why Our College Essay; the Why Your Major Essay; the Extracurricular Essay. Finally, I walk through a complete, compelling Stanford application with you. (Time 2 hr 21 min.)
Masterclass 9: Letters of Support, Interviews, “Tips,” Numbers. We stack these topics late in the course because they’re the variables we have the least control over. But we’ll talk about key strategies for getting the best letters of support, how to handle interviews, and any “tips” you should use to your advantage. (Time 51 min.)
Masterclass 10: Capstone. First, we cover our most frequently asked questions of the last decade. Finally, we end by applying everything you’ve learned: we read through a compelling Northwestern application start to finish. I explain how and why I would assign my ratings-just like I would if I was still working at a school like Stanford. (Time 1 hr 22 min.)

Unweighted? How many Bs? What are your other activities? These are too hard to answer in a vacuum. But keep it real with yourself by looking at admitted freshman profiles with unweighted GPAs. UCLA is top 20--only 25% of admitted students had more than 1 semester B.

All my videos and courses and advice applies to international students equally. Admissions is looking for the same things in your application.
