Thanks for the tutorial really helpful. I had a question. In after effects my clip was on a transparent background. When I clicked render and replace to have smoother playback, it added a black background to my clip. How can I fix that to render it with a transparent background?
When I press replace with after effects all it does is open ae, it doesn't prompt me to save anything, it just opens as if I never pressed replace with after effects. What do I do?
i cant press that button which says "replace with after effects composition" does after effects and premiere have to be the same version ? because mines are 2018 and 2019
Seems so easy but when I finish editing on AE and then go back to Premiere, the playback is very choppy and if I try to rewind often it will stop playing that comp in Premiere. It just shows a still frame. If I go back to AF, the monitor will show just a gray box. A couple of seconds later my entire PC will crash. Even the mouse. Then I need to force a restart as I cannot use the PC anymore. What in the world is happening?
Can u please help me, I accidentally turned my entire timeline into AF comp then saved it, next day when I open the premiere Pro i realized I need to make some changes and idk how to turn it back into individual clips. I'd appreciate the help if anyone knows a solution.
Hello Mason, I have smoke, text and sound. How do I save it as a composition. I want to import it into Premier so I can render it. I tried it but the file is separated.
@@Filtergrade and one more thing to be aware of, when your using dynamic link and AE and PR is open, then the power goes out. Your AE file will be damaged and you need to redo all the assets you linked from scratch

I would have loved to see a practice example, I don’t see why I would want to do all that just to add text when that is available in premier. Does anyone know a more practical example where it makes sense for me to use this and perhaps a link to a video? Thanks everyone

No, after effects has a ton more features within its timeline that play as tools for adjustments. Some examples are parenting, keyframing, Pickwhiping, expression settings, graph mode (very important) and adjustment layers. I promise if you spend a little time learning the after effects time line you'll never go back to premiere pro for quality of life features that you'll get used to very quickly. If your having problems with after effects remember to clear your cache files every time your done your project and set the playback resolution to half.
