@@StoneOfMoon Hah, I'm not actually sure either! Sorry I can't be of more help. I just kinda started noticing it a year or two ago and thought 'huh! I do that a lot, and now it's my signature' lmao
Knowing Catra, she would just reject, punch her and call her "an idiot", maybe also spit on the ground. She wasn't ready, gotta lot of self-known, botton out, confrontation and self-forgiving to do before hand.
yes but the story was about them like finding themselves and the fact that THEY were the key to saving etheria. had adora kissed catra the entire plot wouldn't work
My absolute favorite thing is the way just Adora’s single response to Catra’s confession, a bewildered “you love me?”, in the specific tone she uses, reveals and makes it 100% clear that Adora has loved Catra all along. Like, she says it as if it’s something she’s felt her entire life but never thought Catra would reciprocate. Any doubts about Adora feeling the same way for Catra or concerns it’s one sided just vanish with the delivery of that one line :,)
I wouldn't blame Adora for thinking it wasn't reciprocated considering Catra with her "I know you hate me" thing kept pushing Adora away (literally running from her at times).
@@DeathMessenger1988 she raised the two most powerful, capable, dangerous military leaders on the planet who then went on to overthrow a galactic tyrant and raise a galaxy spanning resistance between numerous species that don't even like each other. I'd say she did okay.
@@asurasyn Yeah. Cause Catra is the picture of mental well-being and Adora is the most world-aware genre savvy person ever. Then again, Beethoven and Genghis Khan both had an okay dad, so what do I know?
In my Chinese 101 class, the teacher had us repeat the different proper pronunciations, and "Shi, Chi, Zhi" are actually pronounced "shrrr, chrrr, jrrr", so I was practicing with a classmate and realized that now I can't help but say words like certain, sure, etc. without elongating an rrrrr sound. I also saw a video by Liza Koshy (look up anything with Helga. Seriously, some of the funniest things I have seen.) Anyway, in one of her videos, she says "your therapist" as "your the rapist" and now, all I see/hear when I read the word "therapist" is "the rapist"...which is unfortunate...but still funny. Also, a funny thing about that scene is that she keeps adding maJORs and it reminds me that that is my real-life minor list. Almost. I am a secondary English education maJOR and I have minors in Spanish, Chinese (technically, but my school shut down the program, which is the only program in the entire state of North Dakota, which was really stinky...but they replaced a lot of classes to have it technically count, even though hardly any of them have to do with Chinese...) Anyway, so on top of those languages, I also got a special education minor and almost have my middle school minor. AND THEN I have an extension (technically) in TES/OL (Teaching English as a Secondary/Other Language). So yeah. My maJORs and meenYORs (She would try to put a tilde ~ in there...most likely...) are extensive... This was a very long comment, sorry about that! (I truly blame my English maJOR on that.)
Idk why but the line of "Does anyone get a little bit of a gay vibe?" comes to mind every time I see that scene. 😂 Their reactions is perfect for the line.
Lmao me and my cousin have this thing with another show Carmen Sandiego that goes "F-F-F-Fedora, F-F-F-Fedora, Fedora the explorer" as an inside joke? This reminds me of it 😂😂😂
What I love about this series is that it breaks all the stereotypes but in such a natural charming way that you don't notice it till the end. For example adora isn't good at anything that has to do with feelings. It's so funny. Her solution to everything is smashing something. The men in the show on the other hand are very good at the emotional stuff. I love everything on this show. It's so valuable at these times. It reminds you that you can't put love or people into categories.
also the fact that bow wears exclusively crop tops and leggings but ultimately ends up with glimmer - someone of the opposite sex. breaking the stereotype that men who wear more "feminine" clothes are always gay (hes bi, but still). and we have scorpia, who's big and buff but is actually just a massive cinnamon roll, instead of being intimidating and following the stereotype. this show is just so good at subverting expectations
6:05 “What do YOU want, Adora?” OK IM 17 YEARS OLD AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IVE EVER CONSIDERED THAT QUESTION IN PLOTS LIKE THIS. IT WAS NEVER JUST BROUGHT UP. JUST THE HERO BEING NEEDED AND RISING TO THE OCCASION CAUSE PEOPLE NEED THEM. BUT CATRA ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT ADORA’S MENTAL STATE AND HOW DHE FEELS, ITS OK TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND BE SELFISH SOMETIMES. ITS SOMETHING PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR MORE. WHAT A VALUABLE LESSON TO HAVE IN A KIDS SHOW.
That sounds amazing. At the end of the episode, Catra and Suki roll up to pick them up, look at the bonfire the pair somehow set off, ask 0 questions, and take their SO home.
the moment huntara casually flirts w a waitress and is pissed when adora interrupts literally made me cry the first time i saw it cuz of the casual rep like jesus this show is incredible
Adora was so oblivious to flirting until the Darla scene where Entrapta went Motorola commercial on the ship. in S5 Ep 4. Maybe she finally got a clue haha
She literally has a cat girlfriend what a power move Edit: something funny about this comment is I first made it before I watched the show, when all I knew about the show was "cat girlfriend." Now, I've seen the whole thing like three times, and I'm still right. Cat girlfriend
Adora went in to save Glimmer, only for Glimmer to have to save Adora. All happened in less than 10 seconds. The Best Friend Squad truly have only one brain cell.
Idk the original show felt more Gay it just doesn’t need any explanations unlike this show which just focuses everything on LGBT Earth Culture which oddly has came to Etheria it feels more like Earth than an Alien planet not a bad show but I think the original did it better in this aspect but nonetheless He-Man is far better She-Ra wasn’t that good in my opinion.
I'm genuinely in awe at the decision for Adora's voice actor to deliver the word "historians" the way she did, don't get me wrong and considering the situation it's perfect but... just... WHY DID SAY IT LIKE THAT?! What gave her that idea XD
Bro there are four frames in the kiss, and I always focus on Catra so I never noticed Adora's expressions. Holy shit, when Catra leans towards Adora to kiss her, Adora is ready to return the kiss and she puckers her lips, and then right before it happens, it's like she realizes that it's not a vision and that it's actually happening; in Heart I and II there had been two instances when Adora had a vision of Catra and her being together, one when she saw all of the versions of Catra throughout their lives, and the other was the future vision. In the kiss, Adora has to have a second of surprise and amazement because this is the first time them being together is not a vision, and she can't believe that it's actually happening. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I just imagine them out at a family dinner and adora being I have to tell you something and it’s important to me Everyone:🤨😟 Adora: I’m gay and into catra Catra:🤦🏻♀️ Everyone else: 🤨🙄we know adora you literally saved etheria with your gayness
You are right about that. They don't even have the word for "aunt" or have ever even heard of/seen a horse, so...I guess the best way is to say "ignorant". That actually sounds kind of rude, but it is the best descriptor, in my opinion...
Yeah To bad Korra wasn't that great but I like the original Avatar: The Last Airbender Series but at least Korra wasn't as bad as M. Night Shyamalan's live action movie.
THIS LITERALLY MAKES ME WANT TO CRY. THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN THE FUCKING CUTEST IF THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS ON SCREEN. WE WERE FED CRUMBS WHEN THEY JUST HELD HANDS AT THE END
are we just not gonna talk about how every horse girl (including adora) wanted a flying unicorn as a child every christmas but ADORA WAS THE ONLY GIRL WHO ACTUALLY GOT ONE-
Well, a dragon would have suited her. And I don't know if it is accidental or a very subtle and smart move from Noelle, but for most of the series, Catra is a dragon (see tropes).
Its the definition of petty but lets be honest we're all a little salty at it- I saw a hilarious edit that changed the note to "Your gay, adora" and it had me wheezing
I just finished binging this series and I can not get over how amazing of a protagonist Adora really is. This show is so well written and all the characters are incredibly likeable but Adora is just on another level
I feel kinda bad for Lonnie. Imagine you grew up in a 5 person friend group, and everyone else was with another one. Catra x Adora Kyle x Rogelio Lonnie x loneliness
@@georgemouse504 the show only suggests Kyle x Rogelio. I think Lonnie with them in a poly relationship is more of a headcanon by Noelle, and fans can take it or not
Yeah but at least it ended on a good note unlike Star V.S. The Forces Of Evil or at least had an ending unlike Todd McFarland's Spawn on HBO But this was my favorite Show on Netflix Hell it might of actually been my favorite show.
Adora may have the military training and the incredible powers of She-Ra, and Glimmer may have the powers of psy-beams and teleportation, but Bow has the brain cell
One of the guys in my dnd campaign over zoom does that. He yells random stuff when joining the call that always seem to sort of match the conversation the other people were having before.
