Her mate died and her offspring was killed by a dog. One day a little boy was teasing Kalia and Kalia bit him. The boy's father hit a shovel in her head and killed her. It's sad. Maybe the father of a child did it to protect his son. Every father would do the same, I guess. But it's sad how Kalia's life ended

This is beautiful because the relationship is not forced and the monkey is not on a chain or in a cage and that lovely man knows he doesn't own the monkey. Another earth angel who respects mother nature.

😭 I wanted to know more about Kalia so watched Kalia The Lost Gibbon. Kalia was killed by ignorant assholes. I hope they suffer in this life for what they have done. Her poor human friend blames himself 😥 Some humans are so lovely but the heartless ignorant ones amongst us cause so much destruction and suffering, it's very sad.

Kalia the lost gibbon is dead in 2016, killed by one of the villager. reason being the gibbon bites the villagers son. kaila bite the kid because the kid used a slingshot to hit the gibbon. so the gibbon bit the kid. the same year the old man who took care of the gibbon also died. the old man blamed himself as a reason(took care of the lost gibbon when it was very young) for the killing. sad story to watch the story, search ''Kalia The lost gibbon ' in youtube

Incredible! This made my day. So lemme try sharing some trivia about this extraordinary ape popularly narrated within the local culture. Among the native Assamese culture there are local folklore dedicated to this charming ape. One song i remember goes like 'holou uthil tokou gosot, logai khodou modou. Haar haar ke newar poril,hol jolou jopou.' loosely meaning holou(referring to the gibbon) goes up a (tokou) tree creating nuisance,to be covered in mist leaving it wet and clumsy. A human way of expressing the unique 'personality' of this ape with a plenty of fondness for its behaviour. Full Disclosure:My homestate is Assam and i have grown up with such beautiful folklore.
