@@okai51 let me ask you a simple question because I can see you don't know the history of this tribe in Ivory coast....Are they singing in Bono Twi or Ashanti Twi?.
The name of the drumming troop is "Nyame Mmbre" meaning God never gets tired. Akans in Ivory Coast and Ghana speak pretty much the same language with minor twists here and there.
Ghana 🇬🇭 and Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 are related. My father told me that the Ashanti tribe from Ghana 🇬🇭 are related with the Agni tribe from Ivory Coast 🇨🇮. We have the same dances, the food and almost the same traditional clothes like kente... 🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭❤️🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮✌🏿🕊️
there's More than 15 ethnics groups in ivory coast witch have same culture with ashanti or akan. because ashanti kingdom was a federation. there's also some ethnic groups present in ghana and cote d'ivoire like the Anyin( Agni in cote d'ivoire), the abron(abron too in cote d'ivoire) and N'zima or apollo( N'zima or appollo too in cote d'ivoire). every year we celebrate the abissa witch is very popular in ivory coast, to the point companies sponsor it. ivory coast is a crossroads of west african culture. the akans represent 25% of the ivorian culture and they are the majority. there are other similar ethnic groups with liberia, guinea, mali and burkina. the malinké are also numerous. but not more than the akans.
It was after Osei Tutu’s death, the seat became vacant so his son Darko Kusi and Opoku Tintin(ware) compete for the position. Opoku ware ascended the throne but Darko Kusi didn’t understand and confusion erupted. Opoku Ware wage a war against him so he and his mother( Abena Pokuah) and some of the asantes migrated to Ivory Coast.

Laud TV always brings new stuff. Yes, we know of our cultural links to the Ivory Coast but to see an Adowa and Nwonkro group with Ivorian sign is a new discovery. You are King of discoveries- Love from the US.

@@jean-frejuskassi7178 There were no Ghana or Ivory Coast at the time. That concept was only imagined and created by the Europeans in 1885. These people are the Jamans who migrated there from Bono Manso near Techiman in Ghana. Their most famous Kings were Kwajo Adinkra and Abu Kofi.
People from the East in côte d ivoire came from Ghana, they are not Asante community living in côte d ivoire, but Ivorian from the ethnic group you find in Bondoukou called Bron or Koulango

These ppl are really Akans... Typical Ashanti's... No difference between what am seeing from the dressing, the drums played, the dance, the language... I understand the song and everything very well even though am a Ghanaian and haven't been to Ivory Coast before... The tradition displayed here is the same as how we do it here
