If you feel exhausted after physical exercise here's what really helped me while I was in the same situation: I started with 1 exercise a day (like one set of deadlifts, or squats or an abdomen training exercise). I then let my body dictate when I was feeling like doing more. I never had to do a whole routine, only one exercise a day was mandatory. It took me two years, but now I do a 30 to 60 minute session a few times a week, bot beacuse it's the right thing to do, but because now it actually feels great

I was told by family that as a kid the docs diagnosed me with Addison’s Disease (adrenal fatigues a symptom), but my parents didn’t follow up. 😐 So now I’m 31, finally able to seek answers, waiting a year for my endocrinologist appt.

Just thought I would mention that you could also have adrenal insufficiency , Addison disease , it won’t show on a regular blood test , but your salt potassium will be out of balance . Your skin will darken . If you develop these symptoms then there is a blood test to test for Addison’s disease . It is a very serious but rare condition and easy for doctors to miss .

I need a nap after i eat. I don't sleep well. I never wake up really rested. I have untreated sleep apnea. I can't use my machine due to living place. Live at my church. Small sink, not able to clean hoses in tiny sink. Have to shower at my aunt's. No tub or shower.

You are 100% correct. My endocrinologist said why is your cortisol at 22.5? TPO 1300 also. ( she disregarded my TPO). Why is it so high? I was diagnosed with Hashimotos 2 months before I went to her. I needed her help. She seemed so perplexed as why I was so sick.... I asked her if I needed adrenal supplements and she said no, those will make you fill jittery.... crazy right? She did nothing to help except prescribed synthroid. I was so sick for 6 months... i hd so much inflammation the thyroid med wasn't penitrating my cells.. God's grace I finally got better..

I'm not here to judge wether or not adrenal fatigue is real or not. But for these symptoms, there is one more possile explanation: an anxiety disorder. On top of feeling super stressed, you will often be unable to fall asleep, your sleep quality will be very poor and fatigue will of course follow. That might even have an effect on cortisol levels as well. I recommend going to a psyciatrist and investigating this possibility. You can start ani anxiety medication and then reduce it and eventually do well without it in a year or so. The goal psychiatists havr nowadays is NOT to keep you on meds forever unless that really is necessary. And calming down your anxiety through medication can give you some space and power to reevaluate the things that stress you out and change the way you react to them even after you give up on the medication. If it's actually an anxiety disorder what is causing these sympoms, your life will improve massively with proper medication. Therapy is of course also recommend

I need a blood test, however I struggle to get it done because I was an IV user in the past and my veins have suffered. I went to my doctor few days ago and they failed at finding a vein… I have been looking at the blood test at home kit, where the clinic sends a kit to draw blood from a prick in the finger, like many other at home tests nowadays. Please could you give me your opinion Doctor on whether this kind of test is reliable enough in terms of testing for the basics like thyroid liver anemia and all those other things checked in normal blood tests. It’s an expensive test but it may be my only option for now and I’d like to know if it’s worth it or not. Please.

I'm pretty sure both me and my 95 year old mom have PCP's who wouldn't know what we were talking about if we suggested a saliva test for this. Is this a lab test .. something that can't be done in-house? How is it done?
