I will be praying, also pray for my son who is 30yrs old and running from God!! He needs to be delivered from demons that are leading him!!God will get your son as well as mine!!
Yes, for your's...and for my children and grandchildren... and that I would not be satisfied with my own piety and recognize that I am only benefiting from a "many year head-start" on the same path.
This is why the vs. do not be deceived is so valuable. Discerning the spirits is a great gift, a demon can form as an angel of light and deceive many. Stay steadfast in His word and dawn the armor of God ❤❤❤
Adrian Roger's could preach a sermon and make it so easy to understand it was a gift he had! I could listen to him all day! I miss him but he left treasures in the form of sermons so that we continue to grow in our Christian walk! Thank you Pastor!
Good sermon. To answer to the question "Why did Jesus Choose Judas?" I would summarize as "For the Lord's purposes and to demonstrate He is Lord even over Evil."
You know he is. He truly loved Jesus and now has his reward. We miss you, Adrian. Thanks for all the sermons. May God continue to bless your wife and family.
Judas did not truly care about what he did, he was sorrowful over his loss, not his decision. That is the difference. Peter truly cared that he denied Christ.
He literally gave back the silver and proclaimed "i've betrayed innocent blood." Then took his own life out of agony over what he had done. If that doesn't scream repentance i don't know what does.
I never thought about judas the way as respected pastor explain with clarity about the whole thing. This is first time i have heard him. I am blessed of his teaching. May Lord Jesus give him more knowledge and wisdom so he continues sharing with us word of God. Amen praise the Lord. ❤❤
The Lord taught me the fear of the Lord. I love Him because he saved me. I understand and accepted the meaning of His coming. I understand his birth, death and resurrection. I can't go through the day without reading his word, praying etc. I thank God for the tests, trials, tribulations in my life. I love witnessing. Thank you Adrian Rogers for this message. I'm still learning and understanding at 71 We're going home soon. Keep reading and praying church. ❤🎉🙏
@23:26...."For the Son of man shall come in the clouds with the glory of His Father; and *then* shall He reward every man according to his works" (Matthew 16:27).
The work of God through the life of Adrian Rogers is mighty and still speaks deeply with the ones who are seeking to know more about our Creator and Saviour!
Wonderfully uplifting & utterly reassuring. What a man of God to sit under his inspired ministry. We need this type of man in all our pulpits, pray for such!
You can't fall to sleep with this good preaching! I ask you this: if when Jesus died on the cross all our sins were forgiven. Does that mean judas sin was forgiven too?
He literally gave back the silver and proclaimed "i've betrayed innocent blood." Then took his own life out of agony over what he had done. If that doesn't scream repentance i don't know what does.
@@St.Garoosh is there a difference? Would Judas give back the silver and admit his sin if he didn't wish he could take it back? To me, the problem lies in not recognizing that what he did was betrayal....or boasting about what he did. He did neither of those, instead he felt guilt as you put it, which is a good thing.
Judas repentance was not Godly Repentance like that of Peter or Nineveh: But was Worldly Repentance like that of Pharaoh - that brings death. 2 Corinthians 7:10
@@nyendecoadvocates1323But God knows the heart. Declaring "i've betrayed innocent blood" is an admission of wrongdoing and seeing Jesus as the Son of God. Much like the soldier that said "surely this was a rightous man." Yet Jesus said "forgive them for they know not what they do."
He reminds me o Billy Graham. I have heard how good a preacher he was, now i know. God is eternal-soverign when we do not understand, it is because He is so much greater than we are.
A timely message even for today. But if Judas was never saved, how was he commissioned by Jesus to heal the sick and cast out demons with the other disciples?
As the preacher says, "To fulfill scripture". I believe that God fulfills scripture to help strengthen our faith. My human heart, however, morns for Judas. My hope is that because the Bible doesn't specifically say that Judas is in hell, although certain verses could be interpreted as a hellish fate, that he is somehow redeemed by the Grace of Jesus. I pray for his soul.
The Bible tells us that God uses vessels of dishonor and vessels of honor alike to show His glory (2 Tim 2:20-21). God uses honorable and dishonorable things to show His wrath and judgment. I believe the example of Judas was just that-an example and to be used to edify and rebuke true believers of Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:28-29 tells us that God uses the base and weak things of this world to confound the wise and uses the things that are despised in this world to bring Him glory. Ecclesiastes 12:13 tells us that the whole duty of man is to fear the Lord and to keep His commands. Fearing the Lord helps us to depart from evil (Prov 3:7). This is all to the salvation of the Church which is why Jude says (v22-23) that some are saved with compassion and others with fear because the fiery wrath of God is coming. All of this is to keep us alert and sober and to remain in the fear of the Lord and despising everything tainted with evil. Judas is an example to keep us sober and reminds us that if it weren’t for the blood of Christ we would all be condemned to that same horrifying fate of Judas.
Excellent video. Word of preached here. Thank you Jesus! Judas baptized. Judas cast out demons. Jesus loved Judas. Washed his feet. He was clean. But Jesus knew not Judas. Who He was. Only a few will Jesus know. Most 'folks' will He not know in this world that lieth in wickedness. Like times of Noah and Lot will He return. Thank you Jesus. Rev 22:11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. Matt 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
Thank you for your comment! I have a push-back from John 13:10 that tells us that Judas in fact was not clean. Jesus said that not all were clean while Judas was present at the washing. But after Judas went out (John 13:30), Jesus then said that all who were present were clean (John 15:3) Jesus indeed loved all His disciples unto the end (John 13:1) which truly shows us how great and deep the compassion, mercy, and grace of our Lord is but Judas was in no wise clean and was a devil from the beginning (John 6:70). There will be many in the day of the Lord who will say that they did all these great and marvelous things in Christ’s name but the reality is that their hearts are far from Him (Matthew 15:8) and they are actually workers of iniquity-not righteousness (Luke 13:27).
Acts-15:22-23Then the apostles and the elders, together with the whole church, decided to choose some men from the group and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barbara's. They choose two men who were highly respected by the believers, Judas, salled Barbara's, and silas and they sent the following letter by them. Amen. God bless to Paster Adrian Rogers.

Our Lord called Judas for same reason He calls anyone else: to love us to the max..but God’s love isn’t magic. Meaning, Judas was in close proximity to Our Lord for 3 years !!, yet, did NOT want the love from Him
The Lord knew Judas would betray Him when He chose him. It was in prophecy and it had to happen. Strange thing is that The Lord identified Himself to the guard before the "kiss" so Judas was not even necessary.
Jesus even before he picked judas From the very beginning understood that this man would deceive him and told so on the last supper without this we would not be reading the bible or understand maybe I am wrong but I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose on the 3rd day prase his name amem and amen 🙏
To show us how not to be a false disciple....to show us that evil lies everywhere including the church close to Jesus....to show us the consequences of his actions....to show us HIS love and compassion for us even when we betray HIM.
Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:19 that he was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven and whatever he bound on earth would be bound in heaven and whatever he loosed on earth would be loosed in heaven which means what he said is NOT negotiable. Peter was asked by the people in Acts 2:37 what they needed to do to be SAVED. He responded in Acts 2:38-39, "Repent and be BAPTIZED every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the PROMISE is unto you and to those that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Peter said in Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men whereby we must be Saved." Peter said in 1 Peter 3:21 "The like figure where unto even BAPTISM does also now save us....." It does so because it REMITS SIN - meaning the INITIAL remittance and not the confessing of sin later addressed in 1 John 1:9. Jesus said in John 3:7, "Marvel not that I said unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." That means that is NOT negotiable. He said in John 3:5, "Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of WATER, AND of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God." Being born of water is being Baptized in water in Jesus Name, being baptized with the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Mark 16:16, "He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believes not shall be damned." At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore and teach all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name (Singular name and not names) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." The book of Acts is the longest and most important book in the New Testament because all of it is what Jesus and His disciples said we must do to be Saved which is repentance, water baptism in Jesus NAME - Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 18:3-5, And Acts 22:16.: And being baptized with the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit which is addressed in Mark 16:19 (Jesus speaking) Acts 2:4 (Pentecost) Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, and Acts 10:44-48.There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Spirit just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example. All of the above proves no one's sins are remitted just because they are a believer, no one is Saved just because they are a believer, no one receives the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit just because they are a believer, and no one is Born Again (John 3:3-7) just because they are a believer. Some say the Thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus told him he would be with him in paradise that day.. Jesus had not given the COMMANDMENT to be Baptized in His NAME until after He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. If you are convinced you need to get baptized in water in Jesus NAME, do a search, type in "United Pentecostal Church International", slightly scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, then a screen will show a Church nearest you that will do that. If you do that you will be making SURE your name is written in the Lamb's Book Of Life. Jesus said in John 10:27, "My Sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me."
The 21:32 minute mark, how was Judas NOT saved when God Himself called him to become a disciple and an apostle? Can a disciple not be saved? Can a man that believed Jesus, studied under him, casted out demons, healed the sick, and was selected for the position of apostleship NOT be saved. Judas lost (forfeited) salvation when iniquity was found in his heart. He betrayed Jesus. Although he regretted and confessed his wrong, Judas killed himself and made Hell Fire his eternal abode.
Judas proves that even with the irrefutable truth staring us right in the face we can still not see it, unless God intervenes opens our eyes and shows it to us.
In Africa, when I saw the first time a plane flying in the sky, I was told about a people of intelligent people who do complex things with high abstract thinking. I did not think that time I would see the same people sitting to be asked childish questions and take time to listen to tales of the Bible. It seems all are in "Bondage of Sin and Death"!
The main difference between Peter and Judas is the fact that Jesus prayed for Peter whenever the devil will sift him like wheat but urged Judas to go ahead and betray him.
Question is: If it was God's will for Jesus to die, then why is Judas hated as the betrayer who sent him to the Cross? Wouldn't he'd be glorified for doing God's Will?
The other Disciple's name was also called Judas, the brother of Jesus. Thus it's not the name which is the problem, it's the heart. The Judas story is very disturbing on one hand but at the same time very reassuring and comforting. We all have Judas's in our lives, hypocrites or backstabbers, those who look clean and respectable on the outside whom people love and respect and admire but who are evil and demon possessed on the inside capable of the most heinous crimes. Peter also betrayed Jesus, like all the other Disciple's as well, not once but three times yet there was one major difference between the two. Satan asked Jesus permission to sift Peter or to rough him up a bit, put him through some testing in order to build character which Jesus allowed. But with Judas, Satan did not first ask permission and entered into Judas, took possession of Judas. John 13:27 AMP [27] After [Judas had taken] the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly [without delay].” The true Children of GOD, the Devil cannot take possession of us and is merely used on the outside to test us. Judas was a nice guy, probably the most liked Disciple in the band, he was the money guy, the accountant who had access to money which he could give away to impress people, as he showed fake concern for the poor when Many annointed Jesus's feet with oil. But when he realised that this Kingdom of GOD was not as glamorous as first thought and that it would be disbanded by the death of Jesus on the cross, he decided to make his move and pull out while the going was still good and do a deal with the Elites in Jerusalem. The Judas story on the other hand is very reassuring to know that Jesus chose him, it was ordained, planned by GOD that Judas would be used to fullfill prophecy and the plan of GOD. It's called Predestination, every detail was planned to happen as it did, no surprises or l didn't see that one coming, all carefully and maticulously planned by GOD, nothing catches Him off guard.
I thank you Jesus for Judah. For if he had not betrayed You, which was his assignment since the world began. You would've not have gone to the Cross. If You would've not of gone to the Cross, I would've been under the wrath and curse of God my Father in Heaven. Let me not judge those that hearts are hardened. For i know well that You are the One that hardens hearts. You send both calamity and good. Lamentations 3:38. i was instructed to love thy neighbor, and not judge or condemn. I pray for all the Judahs including me. Our sinful nature, that we're born with has all the characteristics of a judah. I lie, i steal, i betray, i deceive etc... my father was the devil. But i have been redeemed by Your precious blood and little by little all the nations that you speak of in deuteronomy 7 are being removed by Your powerful Spirit. Thank you Jesus for Your love n mercy.❤
Even when Cain murdered his brother Abel, The Farther God still showed mercy to Cain! God allowed Cain life but not the life God wanted him to experience!!! Suffering and pain are consequences of one’s choices!!! God gives grace and mercy to the humble, not the evil and proud full!!! We all are little Jesus’s but how many are CHRIST bound!!! We all are saved but many don’t have an authentic relationship with THE LORD!!!!
Jesus Himself Speaks About Hell And How Not To Go There: In Luke 16:19-31 Jesus describes a rich man that lived lavishly and a poor beggar man named Lazarus. It came to pass that Lazarus died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man died, was buried, then went to hell. 23 And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in TORMENT, saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented IN THIS FLAME. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received good things, and likewise Lazarus received evil things, but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you can not, neither can they pass to us, and would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray you therefore father, that you would send him to my father’s house. 28 For I have 5 brothers that he may testify unto them, lest also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham said unto him, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay father Abraham, but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” LOCATION OF HELL: Jesus said in Matthew 12:40, ”For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH.” Paul said in Ephesians 4:9, ”Now that he ascended, was it but that he also DESCENDED into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH.” HELL IS A PLACE OF FIRE: Jesus said in Luke 16:24,”….Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue for I am TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.” Jesus said in Matthew 13:42,”And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE, there shall be WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.” Jesus said in Matthew 25:41,”Then shall he also say to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels.” Jesus said in Revelation 20:15,”And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.” HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT: Jesus said in Luke 16:23,”And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENT….” 24 …..for I am TORMENTED in this flame.” Jesus said in Revelation 14:11,”And the smoke of their TORMENT ascended up FOR EVER AND EVER, and they have no rest day or night….” Jesus said in Mark 9:45-46,”And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off, it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED. 46 Where their WORM DIES NOT, and the fire is not quenched.” Note that it doesn’t say “THE Worm”, it says “THEIR WORM” dies not. Jesus said in Revelation 21:8,”But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, which is the second death.” Note that Brimstone is Sulfur and burns with a very strong odor of rotten eggs. The scriptures above prove when a person goes to hell they will constantly see hell, constantly smell hell, constantly feel the heat of hell, will constantly breath hell, will constantly hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth of others in hell, will constantly be aware of their own worms, they will have no rest day or night, there is no way out and it will continue for ever and ever, they can’t die because they are already dead. The following is how to not go there and it is a SIMPLE AND EASY thing to do: All of the book of Acts is what Jesus disciples said what we must to be SAVED - meaning not go to hell, which is repentance, water baptism in Jesus NAME, (Not the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) and being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believes not shall be damned." At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19,"Go therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not name's) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time they invoked Jesus NAME at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16. Jesus said in John 3:3-7,"Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man BE BORN AGAIN, he can not see the kingdom of God. 5 Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 7 Marvel not that I say unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Being born of water is being baptized in water which is for the REMISSION OF SINS - meaning the INITIAL remission of sins and not the confessing of sins later addressed in 1 John 1:9. Being born of the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost. What being baptized with the Holy Ghost means is addressed in Acts 2:3-4, (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5 - which is when the Spirit of Christ initially dwells in a person. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example. Paul said in Romans 8:9-11,”But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS." Numbers 23:19, ”God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent, has he said and shall he not do it? And shall he not make it good?” Malachi 3:6,”For I am the Lord, I change not...” Hebrews 13:8,”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” That means there is no reason to think that Jesus will make an exception and save someone that has not been baptized in water in Jesus NAME, and has not been baptized with the Holy Ghost. Some say the thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus told him he would be in paradise with him that day. Jesus had not given the COMMANDMENT to be baptized in HIS NAME until after he had risen from the dead and before he ascended into heaven. The thief on the cross could not have been baptized because he did not know about it. if you do what Jesus said above in Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:19, and John 3:3-7, you will be making SURE your name is Written In Lamb's Book Of Life. If you are convinced you need to get baptized in water in Jesus Name do a search and type in "United Pentecostal Church International", scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, a screen will show a Church near you that will do that. Jesus said John 10:27, ”My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

(Sorry for the VERY, VERY long "comment". But I believe it NEEDS to be espoused) Kind Sir Adrian Rogers, you said, "Why Did Jesus Choose Judas...?" Well why does EVERY one say, "He's a horrible person, etc!". As they did with "Cain"! Etc. And Every where, person are READY to say, "That person is going to hell", etc, Etc and ETC! But, Jesus said in this... Mark 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven; unto the sons of men (mankind) even blasphemies howsoever; they shall blaspheme: Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit; has never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. So, there's ONLY one Sin; that can send anyone to hell. And that Mark 3:29 describes: the ONLY Sin. And this in...John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him (Nicodemus), Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be Born Again, he cannot see the kingdom of God And that must be the "Un-Forgivable Sin! For the Holy Spirit; is trying to get EVERY person (since Adam and Eve, from the womb); to become Born Again; unto their last breath, before they Die. Now, could it be: that Jesus (USED oh Yes) one of his Disciples?...to teach ALL persons in the World; that Salvation is THE easiest thing, any one could to get Saved! IE: Neither Cain nor Judas; ever "denied" their Jesus (But Peter did). Yes, Cain murdered, Judas betrayed and Peter denied. But read, Mark 3:28 again! Please...and I end me case... ...In any case Adrian Rogers and Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!
Jesus allowed Judas to over throw him to define by the cry. After the death there was those who 😢 for Jesus and those who cried for themselves making it truly easy for him to know who's heart was in the right place for the kingdom.
Jacob named one of his sons JUDAH (variant of Judas). Jesus' brother is named Judas (or Jude, most likely the author of the epistle JUDE). "Judas" means "praised".
Years ago I watched Adrian Roger’s sermon on TV( don’t remember the title:( - where he recited some VERY interesting ( and quite long)poem. I just remember that it was some comparison between Life with God and life with Satan. If someone knows the title of this sermon or have the text of this poem- can you PLEASE let me know- I tried to find on my own ( unsuccessfully:((( . Thanks.
Since the old testament said Jesus would be betrayed by one of the twelve. Jesus had to choose the one that would eventually betray him. It could've been anyone else other than Judas. His father had chosen Judas to be the betrayer.
Pastor Adrian just pointed out Judas was the treasurer of Jesus ministry.Jesus wasnt too poor since his ministry had enough money to need a treasurer.I believe its also possible Jesus had a house. This is not something i will be dogmatic about, just a theory of mine.
Every prayer Jesus asked was answered. Even the one where He asked... "if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." He went to the cross. He knew He had the power to raise up. And...He did. "Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?" "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."
Ask WHY NOT?? Because HE tells us "My ways are NOT your ways" Let God do it His way, as we STOP telling Him "what would God think" Try to think of a nastier sins than DAVID's- If he were a preacher today? BANNED FOREVER!! Right??
