She's still playing this in 2024! She sang this song in Portland on her solo tour this June! She said something along the lines that it was one of her favorite songs she'd written, but it had never found a home on a record. That it's one of those personal songs, she "plays it just for feeling better." Tried looking for it afterward online under the name "No Limits" (my best guess at the title, she didn't say) and couldn't find anything-- thank you for posting! Such a beautiful tune.
Thanks for sharing! I listen to it again from time to time, lovely song that for any other artist, would easily be a highpoint on their album. But for Adrienne, it doesn't even make it to an album.
She played this in London first night of Shepherds Bush Empire 4 night run 2nd March 2022. Started with mass chatter in the audience and quickly fell to ‘pin drop’ silence. Beautiful song. Still not released three years later despite a new 20 song album just dropping! Four more unreleased songs played at Shep Bush. Prolific is not the word 🤗
This song made me cry so i thought to transcribe the lyrics - let me know of any corrections! Hope it makes it onto an album someday Say the word And I’ll be coming back again Like a bird I’ll fly across the water on the wind If love is blind, How did I find you, how? And you ripple like a dream Over the machine of this town And you know no limits True and rare Dew (?) travels through the chambers of your care Soft and true, To welcome in the emptiness with you If love is kind, How can I find you now, When you echo like a dream Over the machine of this town? And you know no limits Tuesday morn, I saw some stars die, some were born No surprise The embers meet the image in our eyes If love will grow, How can we follow the light Which ripples like a dream Over the serene of the night? And it knows no limits
thank you for transcribing! I can say after hearing this live recently, the dew line is actually "true and rare, to travel through the chambers of your care"
A deep well of new material. Have to admire a band that is unafraid to constantly play new stuff to new audiences. Shows how prolific she is. Every song a keeper. Suspect posterity will show this to be a classic period of a great band/artist.
I was surprised to hear them play three new songs this week, especially after releasing two new cd's last year. Played them a few times and they're once again great songs. This song too is just great but still, haven't seen it on any cd's or concerts. Probably doesn't help that you have to spend three minutes tuning your guitar and need two capos :)
Carrandas I think they’ve been juggling about ten new songs across different gigs over the past year (in addition to the two new albums in 2019) Prolific doesn’t cover it. Love the way these songs are played live in raw firm to evolve naturally. This is a great example and what a stunning melody
@@Carrandas yep, completely lost in the music as if you’re an invitee into their rehearsal space. Major part of their charm. The first Shepherds Bush gig was another great example. Starting a song, then stopping and doing something else. And losing capo only to find it again on the end of guitar neck
lmaoo I think many guitar players, definitely myself, have the same fear of a string breaking and whipping directly into my eye. Song begins at 2:30 by the way
